My point being that they try and put it over that they’re not responsible for the acts of previous administrations.
 
The only skill Sunak appears to have is getting himself married in to one of the richest families on the planet, and he's to be applauded for that, well played Rishi. Other than that he is out of his depth on every level.
 
Didn't Rishi introduce the furlough scheme which helped millions of workers when COVID shut businesses down ? That couldn't be right could it ?
Of course no mention of that other great unelected Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
The man who made his way to the top with such stunning ineptitude like selling off half the nations gold reserves whilst the price was rock bottom. Worse still by even being totally amuerterish with announcing his intentions of that sale.
That stunt was said to have cost the British tax payers a few billion.
When Brown lost the general election he managed to rubber stamp his incompetence by leaving the nation without a pot to piss in.

Since then we have had the lies of BJ and more scandals. The Tories will feel the wrath of the voters at the election. Not that the alternative is anything to be excited by.
In a years time I fully expect Labour to win a landslide election. That's when things will get interesting. For the first time in my lifetime Labour will not have a free reign to spend speed spend like they have in the past.
Let's see how they get on when they will have to be more prudent.
Whatever happens though nothing will change because people have their allegiances and will never see anything wrong with the party they vote for.
I have long given up having any faith in any party and I am now more in the band of those that say they are all a bunch of self serving caants.
It won't matter who wins the election, or the one after that, it will be the some old shite just run by a different corrupted bunch .

not that i'm defending Brown as i didn't like him, but the 2008 global financial crisis left most nations without a pot to piss in.
If you think the UK should have had some kind of protective economic bubble around it that made it immune you should have told him how he could've done it and saved us all some grief and money.
As mentioned above the Tories blamed Labour for a few years, it's what politicians do, but they've been in power for 13 years now and the 'other' they keep blaming is themselves as if it was a different party without actually saying it.
BJ was a lazy lying toerag and truss was basically an idiot, so you knew what you were getting with them, but Sunak announced he would run a govt with 'integrity, professionalism and accountability' and they've been anything but.

Why should that exempt them ? COVID and the Ukrainian war have both had a big impact on us and other EU nations but the opposition won't cut them any slack because of it.

b) every nation was hit with covid, and other EU nations have had issues due to the war in ukraine (energy costs). guess which one is doing the worst??
c) brexit. a shoot yourself in the foot moment that has hit the GDP.

Previous 9 years ? The first part was a coalition and In all the years of governments it was not an outstanding period either in good terms or bad, but if if you're a lefty then it will always bad because it was a Tory government wasn't it.......
You chose to say the worst, worst in what period?
At one point we were the fastest recovering so you have chosen a particularly period to suit your lefty argument.

covid was a gift to the tories (as is the ukraine war) as they can blame everything on it and not their own total economic incompetence. and chumps believe them.

I jumped on the fact that the usual suspects all jump on the Tory hating bandwagon whilst conveniently ignoring certain and similar deficiencies that the Labour party have had. For example laying into the current unelected PM, when the last Labour PM was exactly the same .

For the record in the last 25 years I have voted for both the Tories and Labour.

Blair's early years was fine by me, until the Iraq war.......

Didn’t most countries introduce something very similar, they had no choice otherwise the starving masses may have revolted.

He also failed to put any sort of safety measures in place and we’ve been defrauded billions of pounds along with the PPE scams and he’s written large chunks of it off.
