ULEZ

But everyone is healthier.
How long would you allow cars with appalling emissions on the roads for?
Sooner or later they’ll ban everything but electric vehicles, will you be moaning on chat pages and posting aggressive tweets from others whilst doing nowt about it yourself? Again.

Things have to change or we’ll all fry.
Kin idiot.

Everyone is healthier? I remember reading a report that life expectancy was declining in England. It was along the lines of the current generation was the first in decades that wouldn't live as long as their parents. It was to do with poor nutrition and deprivation rather than air pollution.

Are you campaigning for free ulez for blue badge holders? You don’t pay congestion charge either, which is quite ironic.

I’m alright Jack.
You don’t pay for ULEZ if your car is green. Don’t pay congestion charge because my wife is disabled, should I apologise for that?
What’s ironic is that those who campaign against LTNs and 15 minute cities are happy to try and use people with disabilities as examples of those whose lives are being blighted. Couldn’t be further from the truth.

Yeah that was me hiding between your BLM and your Stand with Ukraine Nazi flag.
Looks like Bnet was right, I’m wasting my time arguing with an idiot.
You really have swallowed the lot.
You have no idea of my take on Ukraine, but I’ll let you carry on making your standard lazy assumptions.

The trouble is Hakkers electric vehicles are going to be a major pollutant when it comes to replacing their batteries At about 10 years old. The cars will be worth less than the new batteries so will end up being scrapped altogether together with their batteries.
We need to do something about pollution quickly but electrifying everything really isn’t the panacea we’re led to believe and taxing people into submission will only make us all poorer. When councils become addicted to the extra income these taxes will fall on something else

photo_2023-06-21 07.34.38.jpegUgly on on the outside and ugly on the inside. That sums up these lefty freaks, misfits to a "their/them/it" man/women/99 mental illnesses !

"Tax is good". !!!!! All taxes are illegal by the way, we have No obligation to pay any at all !

Battery technology for cars is not the future. It’s just moving the problem.
I agree but getting petrol/diesel cars off the road will improve air quality.
LTNs and 15 minute cities, if they weren’t a pipe dream, may reduce the number of car journeys, too many people jump in the car for a journey easily done by foot or bike.
Yes I’m aware that some people can’t carry a lot of shopping or may be disabled. Having a decent public transport system would help but this government has just pushed half of HS2 a few years back.

you really think this bollocks is for the good of humanity !!!

absolutely fucking bat shit crazy.

You’ve mentioned 15 minute cities several times now, what’s that?
The 15-minute city is an urban planning concept in which most daily necessities and services, such as work, shopping, education, healthcare, and leisure can be easily reached by a 15-minute walk or bike ride from any point in the city. This approach aims to reduce car dependency, promote healthy and sustainable living, and improve wellbeing and quality of life for city dwellers.

Not sure what's so controvrsial about that.

What’s your local football team?
Surely if you are so much into reducing carbon footprint you shouldn’t be following a football team you have no connection to to save the planet.

Only works in big conurbations and only then if some scroat hasn't nicked your bike.

Who said it was controversial?

I’m pretty sure some carpet munching lefty would give the same stock answer as hackney if there was a discussion on stopping visiting away fans to football matches if they had no interest in football. They wouldn’t see an issue.
Hackney doesn’t see an issue when it doesn’t affect him.

Who’s stopping anyone travelling g? It's about making as many services and amenities available within 15 minutes as possible to reduce travel by car.

See above, Jackie & dickie have probably been reading 'The Light'.
According to Alice and her friends the world elites want to eredicate cars and mandate bikes for everyone. Libertarians like Farage, and Laurence Fox are against 15 minute cities. Hard right Jordan Peterson is also against them. James Melville told his followers that 15 minute cities would mean 'urban incarceration', he reckoned neighbourhoods would be spearated by barbed wire and anyone wanting to leave would require a GQ code/Covis passport and a face recognition scan. There was a protest against 15 minute cities in Oxford, Patriotic Alternative and others were in attendance.

If those mentioned above are against something then you know you're doing something right.
