Relentless negativity

Your failure to spell Vichai's name correctly wasn'tt my only comeback, but of course you failed to answer my points which is 'so right wing' and typical you.
Resorting to abuse when someone points out your mistake, is that 'so right wing'?
Your comments were not worth a response so I declined to waste my time on them.

I have not 'used' Vichai's memory to slate his son. Top has destroyed all that his father built - not me. Its a plain fact that is beyond debate or dispute.

I hope that we beat Coventry - but I wont forget or forgive ever.

You can train with players all you like, but you don't get to see how they really are until it's under game pressure.
Friendlies are a starting point, but i fully expect, that if maresca is any good, he'll sort the wheat from the chaff during August league games.
We'll have a much better idea if he's a pep or a de sousa by sep 1st.
As has been mentioned many times, we didn't look good in 2015-16 until Ranieri plugged the leaky defence in September and kante slotted in.
More comings and goings undoubtedly, nothing will be settled until the xfer window closes, and with a large turnover you need longer to gel. I don't give a crap whether we beat cov or not, it's the long term i care about over 46 games.
He gets at least until Oct 1st for me.

Fuck me, now you've gone all Arnie.

Unbeliever, heretic, stone him!!!!!!!!

Was Oct 1st tongue in cheek?

Six weeks is too short a time to make a judgement unless we are getting beat every week. Our journey back won't be easy and our problems are massive.

What makes you think we won’t have the players capable of doing it?
Well two of our midfielders that will more than likely start in ndidi & Kdh can’t pass a ball to save their lives.
So you feel that our boss can teach something that you naturally should have as a professional footballer?

We once again seem to have gone back to discussing last season, that I thought was partly Kev's point, manager and a fair number of players have left, new manager and some signings that could really tear up this division. We won't be playing teams like Liverpool every week, time to perhaps move on and start the season with a bit more hope.
Lose on Sunday and I'll be calling for his head.
A trauma-informed response will tell us that is inevitable. See a few Brendanball type incidents from Sunday onwards and it will all come back. Playing out the back with players not good enough to do it, giving the ball away and conceding? Yep, that’ll trigger us.

Unfortunately a lot of our fans (on FT and a few on here) seem to be blaming the manager, and the players, for the relegation and seem to want everyone involved hounded out the club. Not accusing you of this.
You’ll always get people over reacting on social media and things getting took out of context.
Personally for me it was obvious Rodgers had to go but I wanted to keep the squad together as I believed it would be enough last season so I certainly didn’t want it breaking up and I’d never want the Thais out.
We need to forget it now stop calling each other negative like with this post however there’s no malice with it but it’s been done to death.
Think we can all agree it’s been a very strange and worrying pre season I remember that Bolton game it’s important to hit the ground running so it’s bit a worry.

I think KDH still has the capacity to learn and I’ve got a feeling Maresca is going to improve him a lot. Not so much Ndidi.

But my point was that our squad will be very different by the time the window shuts, particularly from an attacking midfield perspective.

We seem to be in the middle of a fire sale and buying in the bargain bin, we have had a poor pre-season to prepare, so people are bound to be negative. I am sure long term the club will turn it round but this is a massive fall from where we should be with the effort and money put in by the owners. When Sunday comes we will all support them but every defeat still hurts like we are 12 again so I will not have a go at anyone on here for being passionate, we have been here before and know it can be a long way back but hey what a roll we have had guys ? No one can ever take that away. 5000/1

I thought Enzo was using Ndidi differently? Against Northampton and Liverpool he was getting forward more?

Bargain bin? Think you may be forgetting where we are, nobody at our new level spends tens of millions on one player, we’re now shopping at Tesco not Waitrose.
We have spent more than probably 19 teams combined.

Oct 1st roughly speaking should be about 12 games in give or take a couple.
I always like to use the MoN rule when judging new managers.

Reckon it’ll take at least two transfer windows to get anywhere close to the team he wants and then hopefully he’ll be doing another huge rebuild for the third and fourth.

I dont reckon he will get a third or fourth window chance if its not going well and get replaced by Steve Bruce.😂

He has been, which is a bit hard to get your head round because as has been said ndid’s passing is shocking, but somehow his shooting is even worse.

Absolutely spot on.

There is a lot of revisionism going on on this thread as some seek to distance themselves from their previous explicit or implicit support of Rodgers, the Club and Top.

Stick the 'positivity pills ' offered by some, where the sun don't shine.

The train wreck of the last 18 months+ hasn't come close to ending yet.

The whole place stinks - as evidenced by Rudkin still stinking the place out.

The majority will wank themselves off if we beat Cov but it means nothing other than three points. The Club remains a disgrace to Vishai's memory and all that he built.
Not strictly true. As with all diet games of the season, it sets the tone. Win and players start to believe all tge positivity instilled during pre season. Lose and much of the good work is undone. Lose heavily and, well it becomes an uphill struggle.

It will be far from easy but if we could somehow win on Sunday it’ll set us off on the right foot, especially given their good season last season.

Is that his masterstroke getting Ndidi further forward for his shooting?
And people wonder why we’re worried

We’re in this predicament because those in charge of the club gave the previous incumbent far too much rope. We won’t get out of it by clamouring for the new man to get too little. The mad tour of Asia made his task of setting us up for the new season that much more difficult. So too has been the slow pace of removal of dead wood, over which he has little or no control. Getting rid of Maresca this side of Christmas would be hasty, even borderline crazy, unless he’s giving us no solid signs of progress to cling on to.

I agree, one thing about this Division is that you can make a late charge through the playoffs, this may be our best chance with two transfer windows to buy and sell.

Forest and cov we're both near bottom after the opening months, and both made the play off final.

They have not just received £80 million and took millions off there wage bill. How long ago is it we were buying first team players for £5-6 million? I would say around 2013 at a guess? So that is how far we have regressed in a single year.

My point was that they aren’t bargain bin for this level, it’s where we are so time to accept it and realise we are big spenders for this level and perhaps be happy about that rather than comparing everything to where we were. You’ll never be happy if you were to constantly make comparisons to 2015/16 or CL games the following season.
