You would have been wasting your time looking anyway Mr. Top. I can assure you that I never posted anything last season that suggested we had the right man in charge. For sure I had a bit of a one-man crusade against the dominant 'relentless negativity' but that's a different issue to your unfounded allegation. Care to retract it?

I'm afraid I don't follow your logic in me supposedly creating my own knee-jerk club. The long established KJC hereabouts is more than enough.

But onto your wriggling. Mere semantics, me thinks. Very hard to claim that your relentless objecting to people's negativity about you-know-who was anything but disagreeing with those people's sentiments, IMHO.
So no, I don't care to retract my basic point – that you were a boring 'broken gramophone record' whinging about anyone who dared to moan about each crap performance last season, and I feel sure that you will be the same this season whenever people on here dare to express their dissatisfaction at the latest waste of their money / time / effort just endured courtesy of dear old City.

We’ve done this one to death. When the little tour was announced we all questioned it and did so again tge second we were relegated.

It’s unusual for us but there is money in it for us, and the prestige of our visit to Thailand, certainly through the eyes of our owner.

It is what it is. It’s done now. We can look forward, maybe with a bit of trepidation, at that game at Noon on Sunday to see with our own eyes if we’re doing alright or if it’s an absolute car crash.

Strap yourselves in lads and lasses I’ve a feeling Sunday will be a right old battle.

I for one will be pleasantly surprised if any of our lot show themselves capable of being in a right old battle. I have serious doubts that they have that attribute.

The Championship is invariably won by teams playing exactly the kind of passing football that Maresca favours. Playing that style IS hard-nosed pragmatism because it’s most likely to get you out of the division.
 
I didn't say we hadn't got the players, but as demonstrated by BR if your players can't play the system you like you either need a new system or new players/manager.

BR’s failure was down to the complete breakdown of his relationship with the players, not because the players were’t capable of playing his preferred style. We’ve got a new manager and we’re getting new players. The team that starts on Sunday will likely be very different to the one that starts our first game in September.

I think if we’d all stuck together as fans and turned on Rodgers we’d have got him out and would still be in the premier league.
You took it as being negative but it wasn’t it was fans like me believing in the squad and us being a premier league established club took years to achieve.
Think that’s why you will spark a reaction calling people negative who could just see for themselves what was going to happen.
Fair enough you’ve picked up in pre season being shambolic but calling people who were right about last season negative isn’t correct

Unfortunately a lot of our fans (on FT and a few on here) seem to be blaming the manager, and the players, for the relegation and seem to want everyone involved hounded out the club. Not accusing you of this.
 
We once again seem to have gone back to discussing last season, that I thought was partly Kev's point, manager and a fair number of players have left, new manager and some signings that could really tear up this division. We won't be playing teams like Liverpool every week, time to perhaps move on and start the season with a bit more hope.
Lose on Sunday and I'll be calling for his head.

There is a lot of revisionism going on on this thread as some seek to distance themselves from their previous explicit or implicit support of Rodgers, the Club and Top.

Stick the 'positivity pills ' offered by some, where the sun don't shine.

The train wreck of the last 18 months+ hasn't come close to ending yet.

The whole place stinks - as evidenced by Rudkin still stinking the place out.

The majority will wank themselves off if we beat Cov but it means nothing other than three points. The Club remains a disgrace to Vishai's memory and all that he built.
