The idea that having to wear a face mask in Tescos for 5 minutes is somehow akin to living in Soviet Russia shows how little these clowns understand about totalitarianism .

My take is the Government are scared of this new variant and want to show they are being cautious as they don’t want to be accused of doing too little too late like last year. They admit it’s too early to be sure on many things with the new variant.
As FG says, being asked to wear a mask in a shop or on Public transport is hardly Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia.
Being encouraged to take up the vaccines and boosters is still advice, not mandatory, so no real need for knicker wetting from anti vaxxers. Yet.

When did anyone listen to a word Johnson says seriously . He must be dickies hero as he wanders around hospitals maskless.

It’s been obvious for 18 months he hasnt got a clue or gives a stuff about us , but anyone who has an iota of respect for others has continued to mask up in crowded public spaces.

To me it’s obvious (though not very effective). Maybe you can explain why you think they are “forcing” you to wear a face covering?
 
Most data now suggests mask wearing can reduce transmission .

Even if you’re sceptical - why risk infecting someone ? You know just in case you are wrong ?


For some people wearing a mask for a few minutes is an imposition on their freedom . Take away their freedom of movement - yeah that’s fine.

if you wear a mask you starve your body of 20% of its oxygen intake. You can not survive and thrive on 80%, your immune system will be compromised for a start. Is this enough on its own, why would you be submissive to this shit unless you are an absolute coward ? Obey Obey.

Surely that 20% figure is dependent on how long you wear a mask? To my knowledge, no-one wears one all day & night.

Probably the people that wear masks most of the day are those doctors & nurses in hospitals.

The Virus particles (greater than 120nm diameter) are a number of magnitudes larger than oxygen molecules (0.3 nm). Just think for a minute and it might make sink in. That is undeniable fact.
That is why heart surgeons and other medical folk survive perfectly well when nearing surgical masks all day.

I was just thinking, why are masks restrictive enough to block 20% of oxygen, but not restrictive enough to stop viurii? Always wondered, no one seems able t tell me!
