My first memory of him. Nov 23rd 1963. The day after the JFK tragedy. City 2 Chelsea 4. The latter's first season back in Div 1 and Tommy Doc was building a young team with 21 year old TV as captain. I remember him leading them out with a bit of a swagger and scoring two goals in the game. Next year he got two full England caps completing the set of representing his country at all levels but then failed to kick on and become a great as a player but he certainly was as a coach and manager.
