Sacking Maresca.

Is it possible, likely, advisable? I dont see an option. Blow him out, beg Pearson to step in, crack some skulls, before its too late. Am I overstating matters, in thinking that if we dont gonup, we are finished?

Is it worth pointing out that in only 1 season of his managerial career since 2007 in the championship has he done better than the current incumbents PPG return?
Is it also worth pointing out that he bottled two playoffs before auto promotion. winning only 1 game out of 4.
is it also worth pointing out that in the latter playoff season we were second at one point heading for auto promotion and had a serious drop-off in form in april/may and only finished 6th on GD on the last day of the season.
This myth about NFP continues to play out here.

Said it a good while ago, it would be football suicide to have him “ managing “ us in the prem. Derbys record would be smashed & the biggest ever defeats in the premier league would be topped more than once.
It’s as clear as the nose on your face that he has no flexibility in the way he thinks football should be played, not one little tiny bit.
People on here said that as time progressed , the style of football he plays would quicken as the players got more used to it, so we’d get better.
It’s slower than it’s ever been & we are worse. Nothing teams in this league have very easy games when they play us.
From the first game of the season opposition teams broke on us with ease, getting through our none existent defensive midfield to get a chance on our goal. 40 plus games into the season now & it’s no different to the 1st.
Manager my arse.

We are still top with a game in hand, lots of so called bigger clubs would love to be in our position... Ie Sunderland for example.we have had some managerial disasters im the past but i dont consider Maresca being one of them quite the opposite.

I could never understand Enzo appointing Willy Caballero as his assistant, no coaching experience to my knowledge probably his mate. He needs a no2 whos got coaching experience and can probably suggest a plan B. Enzo is still learning not quite the finished article

Bigger ground yes, bigger club my arse

We had a huge 14 points lead which as been more a less wiped away. Only the game in hand remains a trump card
There is every chance that by the time we play Plymouth we will be 2pts behind Ipswich.
That means only a win at Plymouth would prevent Ipswich taking it out of our hands.
Two extremely poor performances against Bristol and Millwall is really damaging for us.
The frustration of those two defeats is off the scale imo.
Both games presented us with a big opportunity to put daylight between us and the rivals, but rather than grasp the moment they conjoured up two absolute lethargic stinkers.
There seems little realisation of how vital these games are for the future of the football club.
When Enzo said tonight that they need to recover their energy for Fridays game I about choked on my cup of tea.
Who is he kidding ? On watching that tonight they should be able to play again this morning !!!!
You see more life in a tramps vest.
When our players walk off the pitch you want to know that they couldn't have given any more.
Do that and it's hard to criticise, unfortunately it's the bang opposite that's happening.

👏👏👏put a shift in thats all we ask for!

“ not quite the finished article “ That’s the biggest understatement I’ve ever heard.
Your spot on about caballero, so we have a “ manager” with no managerial experience & they let him choose a first team coach with no coaching experience.
Le’s face it, now we know a bit more about our dire financial situation it’s not really a surprise we went for the cheapest out there.

I’d rather have the bloke back that won us the Premier League.
OK then, Claudio, although something tells me h wouldnt be the man for this extraordinary job. I didnt intend the thread as a discussion on, or promotion of Pearson. I just know that I strongly feel that the ghosts in tbe boardroom need to grasp the nettle, as promotion strikes me as do or die. What I intended to discuss was that if binning the Peplett was likely at this late stage, or even possible.

We can't afford a new manager he won't be sacked the board they didn't envisage this scenario this Season, the money issues are another thing plus they have bought into Enzo's plans and what with the embargo they are up shits creek without a paddle

Well in the interview with enzo maybe they should of asked him ‘ you know when your football philosophy isn’t working in games because football isn’t payed on a white board, you are flexible in your thought process aren’t you’?

Don't forget the QPR disaster.

And, if Enzo thinks they are tired then he should use some of the other squad members?

And as for "We struggled a little bit in the first half to find space and to create chances. The second half was much better."

No it wasn't, it was equally as shite until the last 10 minutes when panic set in !!

The man is not only stubborn and arrogant but also deluded.

You can argue about the pros and cons of Enzo's much vaunted idea but last night we persisted with the tippy tappy sideways shite even when Millwall were sat back leading the game. It wasnt while way too late that we actually had a go. Bizarre, its not like we were at a top premier league side it was sodding Millwall and we're still pissing about as if Enzo was playing some sort of video game where he accumulates points for every meaningless 5 yard pass.

He earnestly believes his strategy can manoeuvre teams around and create chances. We have seen that when played with speed and skill it can be very effective. However it needs to be played at speed and needs attackers and midfielders who can execute and score and we do not have enough who can do it. The 'it doesn't matter if you score 1 or 2 because we will score more' approach doesn't work if you can't score more than 1.

The really frustrating thing is he has instilled this 'patient, side to side build up' into the players, and by the sounds of this post-match interview with Ricardo it's pretty much at 'brainwashing' levels. Because when it isn't working, it's because they aren't doing it enough!

"We knew we'd have to be patient and go side to side, though I think we could have done it better in terms of more patient, more side to side trying to find the right moment to attack and find space".

They got it right against Norwich.
Pressed hard from the 1st minute, sharper tackling and much better energy throughout the game.
Didn't see none of that last night, just a wimpish boring non descript apology of a game.

Winks and Ndidi are not creating enough chances and KDH is our main creator - so teams will sit on him. Last night he was put in a position which reduced his effectiveness and so most of the blame for last night falls at Enzos door coupled with poor finishing again.

We battered Norwich and I thought, after the dismal Bristol performance, we're playing decent football to see us through to promotion. Last night's performance has me concerned for play-offs.
