LCFC Hall of Fame

Ian Stringer has a tweet going on Twitter that asks what turns out to be a really difficult question. Specifically, if LCFC started a Hall of Fame, who would be the first three inductees?

It’s not as easy as you think, and some of the answers were ridiculous. I eventually decided on:

Gordon Banks - World Cup winner with us.

Jamie Vardy - likely our greatest ever top flight forward.

Gary Lineker - local lad who did great things on and off the field for the club.

But then you think of all the greats you’re leaving out. It will drive you mental!

Fire away Roofers! Name your three.

Gordon Banks

Jamie Vardy

Wes Morgan. Captain who lifted the greatest prize in English Football

Lineker disappeared too quick off the Leicester scene 😁

I Agree those 3 for starters for sure
It then gets down to the nitty gritty after those

Worthington

A few calls for Vardy, but surely as an active player he shouldn't be inducted.

A HOF can't just be yr favorite who played for a few years, it's got to include loyalty as well as ability.
graham cross for example.
Loyalty, or the perceived lack of it, could take a lot of very gifted players off the list.
Does winning trophies with the club count for more than for your country?
In which case Schmeichel is ahead of Banks.
Kinel you could play devils advocate all night and never come to a decision.

Vardy is definitely on the list.
Lineker is probably on there.

If you look at time with the club and trophies won then there’s an argument for Amartey. 😜😜😜😜😜

err, i'm not saying it's an either or question, i'm saying it should be factor for some players to qualify, not to disqualify others. in the case of GC you're not rubbish if you get the all time appearances record.
lineker was with us for 7 years and scored almost a goal every other game, an extraordinary stat.
trophies are a pointless qualification because some great players played for us during the wilderness years between league cups (it would also exclude harry kane from a Spurs one :) )

Winning trophies is what all competitive sport is about so not sure it’s pointless and a few were putting Banks because he’s a WC winner whilst at the club.
Everyone has a different set of criteria.
