Impressive - both meeting him and the fact that he’s still going. Never met a northern soul performer. Closest I’ve got are DJ’s Kev Roberts (his sets are brilliant) and Russ Winstanley (who’s sets are self indulgent).
Never knew there was a Quorn Soul Club.
I see there’s a soul night on at the mountsorrel memorial centre on Friday 23 Jan - is that anything to do with the Quorn Soul Club.

Dont think that's Quorn, but I know some folk who go Mountsorrel occasionally. They have lots of music events there.
 
Where do they hold the Quorn Soul Club,Wints? I remember going a couple of times to a place in Quorn back in the day that was close to the A6. Was it called Fantasia? Also went a few times to the old Saracens Head in Loughborough where Bill Poole was one of the DJ’s. Bill used to do Northern nights at the back of The Engineers in Coalville too around that time!

Was at Greenfields Sports Club (the Old Fisons Social Club). Just in the back street behind Forest Gate pub Nanpantan.
