Jesse Marsch

Marsch is understood to feel that the club would need a different approach in the Championship next season if they were to be relegated – as well as a different profile of player to the one that he is accustomed to recruiting.
Does anyone believe this? Sounds weird. I can't recall anyone turning down a premier league job due to the profile of player that may,or may not, be targeted following a possible relegation .

Should we really read "lcfc look elsewhere and marsch's people get their story out first"?

Thank god for that!!😅
We might not stay up/ probably most likely relegated. But got to stay positive obviously.
But the yanks don’t understand our game and never will do! Keep them away please!

Its bullshit we changed our minds on him.

It is normal for the Brits to call in for American assistance once you have bitten off more than you could noirmally chew.... Why not now ?

I've read some dumb things on this board, but this takes the cake. An American is too stupid to clean up an entirely self-inflicted catastrophe?

It might work out for the best. Marsch's folksy, optimistic leadership could prove successful. He might even win over the hearts of not only the team, but also the kind and sometimes vindictive beauty - Susan Wheelan. Her unfaithful ex-husband becoming a thing of the past.

The telling thing in it for me was that he watched us on Saturday!!
Short conversation with his coaching staff on the evening & decided no. There wasn’t a hint of anything to work with after watching Saturdays game I’m sure he would have thought.
For what it’s worth, even though underwhelmed when his name came up as a possible replacement, I was looking forward to at least some energy & fight in our last few games which hasn’t been there for a ridiculously long time now.

No loss in not appointing Marsch , but Dean Smith and Craig Shakespeare it gets worse
If we were a progressive club we would have a manager lined up much like Brighton
when Potter left
However this club reacts to circumstances and has no succession planning in place
The prospect of the comedy duo taking the club further is ridiculous and surely the
position of Rudkin as director of football is untenable 😁

Whist not claiming that Saturday was a good performance, the fact is that they only won because of a gift goal.

For once I 100% agree with you. It’s as though they’ve thought no way we’ll be getting rid of Rodgers but I get the feeling the rumour that he was the one who pulled the plug is correct. He therefore protects ‘brand Rodgers’ and the club save £200k/week. For me you’re right. Rudkin is the real clown in the middle of this circus. Sits there and does nothing. Seems he’s run the club as his own fiefdom. The Women U18’s and U21’s are awful too. A right shit show
