Jesse Marsch

I quite like the appointment of Marsch. His teams play 4-2-3-1 with a high energy, high press. I think City fans will like it.
Immediately, we need someone who doesn't know the players and will change the philosophy. The coaching staff now have all turned into Rodgers

I'm not convinced. He lasted barely six months at Leipzig, and I really haven't heard anything positive about him from his time at Leeds United.

Think the club are taking soundings on this appointment
The concencus is that it is a joke
They cannot appointment another manager that is not acceptable to the fans
The Benitez appointment at Everton , the Potter appointment at Chelsea and Jones at Southampton
all followed by fans criticism and a very short tenure
I was not a fan of Rodgers but the complete lack of planning by the board following his departure shows
a complete dereliction of duty by the board 😁

We have to look at next season, that lot are taking us down so its Mark Robins for me, he's been brilliant at Cov with next to nothing budget wise. Give him the job now, let him put it together and so he can give us a team to be proud of again. Short term for 8 games it must be MON, then give him director of football and bin Rudkin.

Nothing really wrong with that
Yet complete outcry over it. He has the experience of surviving a relegation dogfight aswell and had his best players sold from underneath him last summer (Raphinia and Phillips) while trying to work with bedding in loads of new faces. He was doing alright.
Absolutely ludicrous how anti him people are because of the fact he’s been sacked before/he’s American.
Ranieri was sacked by Greece before coming here.
God forbid we bring someone in with a bit of passion and positivity about them.

Jesse Marsch turns down Leicester job after disagreeing Championship strategy

American was close to agreement but took decision after a conversation with his coaching staff on Saturday evening

Jesse Marsch has withdrawn from the recruitment process to appoint the next Leicester City manager, having been the frontrunner to take over the relegation-threatened club.

The American coach, sacked by Leeds United in February, was close to agreement and had been due at the Leicester training ground on Saturday. He watched Saturday’s defeat to Bournemouth and took the decision after a conversation with his coaching staff that night. The club were told this morning.

Marsch is understood to feel that the club would need a different approach in the Championship next season if they were to be relegated – as well as a different profile of player to the one that he is accustomed to recruiting. The club have one point from their past eight matches and play Manchester City on Saturday. After then they could easily be six points from safety with seven games to play.

The defeat to fellow relegation candidates Bournemouth brought additional problems. There was an injury to Harvey Barnes, identified as a potential hamstring problem in the aftermath of the game by caretaker manager Adam Sadler. Youri Tielemans, a free agent come July, has not played since an ankle injury in the defeat to Arsenal at the end of February.

Marsch’s experience at Leeds has also shaped his thinking and he was lukewarm at taking the Southampton job after that became available following the sacking of Nathan Jones. The decision will have come as a surprise to Leicester who interviewed a number of candidates last week. It
means the club will now have to return to one of the others who met with the club over a series of preliminary interviews in London on Thursday.

One possible option is former Aston Villa manager Dean Smith, most recently at Norwich City, who could yet be appointed – perhaps with former Leicester manager Craig Shakespeare as his assistant. Also mentioned in the process have been Rafael Benitez, and Martin O’Neill, one of the greatest coaches in the club’s history.
