I've Loved Supporting Leicester City

I certainly enjoyed waking up this Saturday morning not having to think about what time I'd got to get into town, or to catch a train..... Bliss. I could enjoy doing this more often.

I’d love to know how you start not to care. After seeing us win everything I was thinking of retiring from LCFC. There I was last Saturday at Hull swearing like a trooper at the ref going banana when we scored and generally being foul mouthed bad tempered old git. It still absolutely gets my heart rate going and I’ve been home and away for 45 years. Please let me know how you do it.
 
Re-assess your priorities in life?
Especially as you get older. Like mid to late 70s. As you start to hear the grim reaper beckoning from afar?

I don’t ‘care’ like I did when I was 15. I know it’s only football … I know that most footballers are insecure idiots not the heroes I thought they were .. I know that most people taking decisions about the game and the club are insincere charlatans who care about money much more than about the fans .. I know sometimes we win sometimes we lose.

But I am still bloody bothered. It’s the sixth round of the Cup for Christ’s sake!

I had exactly this thought at the time. It couldn’t get any better. Went and bought an old Landy to fill my time doing it up.
It’s still in the garage and I’m still going to Hull and back every week.
 
After that splendid run of the great escape, league ,champions league, fa cup etc I will admit I've lost a bit of my enthusiasm.
I know that's it, apart from the odd fa cup run it'll never be as good again.
However, we've all seen and enjoyed things that we never dreamed of during this period.
The day now is all about meeting mates and a beer. I still want us to win & If we win great bit I'm no longer as pissed off about a defeat as I used to be.
I'll still go, but if I have to miss the odd game now I'm not as bothered as I used to be.
Up the City!
