I've Loved Supporting Leicester City

But I've got to the age where I no longer care whether we go up automatically.
Or via the play-offs. Or not at all.
Whether we win the FA Cup or not.
Whether we get points deducted or not.
Whether Top stays or goes.
Whether Enzo stays or goes.
I'll still love them.
I'll just let it all wash over me regardless.
Too old to worry about it anymore.
Que sera, sera!!!!

I've said it loads of times, you can't get out, it won't let you.

Its a disease that can't be cured.

If you didn’t care you wouldn’t have bothered to post that would you G, you’re just feeling a bit melancholy on a Friday night but come Sunday you’ll be up bright and early with the butterflies in your tummy having some breakfast whilst anticipating the day ahead with your mates and hoping for a result but knowing that if the game doesn’t go well you’ll still have had a great day out with good company and friends. 😘

I could quite easily stop down here away from all that VAR crap and those BCC's and their supporters
Good job nobody felt that way back in 2016, anything and everything our club has achieved is through refusing to accept our natural position in the given order of play but to strive for higher greatness and we’ve achieved it with our grit, determination and attitude not to mention ability and guile.
If you want to settle for mediocrity then shame on you.

I disagree @bnet I’ve not been the same since the Covid period. Before then and for most of the previous 30 years I’ve been to far more games each season than I’ve missed. Even moving to London reignited my passion after meeting up firstly with the London branch and afterwards many who post or have posted on here.

Since 2020 I’ve been to a handful each season. I look forward to the day, to have a few beers, to meet up with mates, to watch my team, but I don’t really care any more if we win or lose.

Take Sunday, I want us to win, I really do. I want another scalp ticked off, another trip to Wembley, this time with 30,000 of us all enjoying the occasion. But if we don’t win I won’t be too pissed off. A big part of my passion has been killed off since then. I got out of the cycle. You could say I broke the matrix.

There are several reasons why I think this has happened.

I’ve posted this before and nothing has changed for me since then.

I meant looking at it after the 2016 wonder - nothing can ever top that - we actually did the impossible dream and the FA cup too since then.
Might get meself an old British motor bike soon and tinker with that instead.

After going for 60 years this last farce that has been laid on us mushrooms. I've had the brilliant times with the near winning double winning side of course ending in disappointment.
My first ever visit to Wembley with city only to be disappointment again with a double whammy of getting relegated.
And then my favourite time of all the Broomfield era, yes we won fk all but this was an incredible time with real football knowing we could beat anyone with brilliant football or get a hiding whilst still entertaining. Then the dolldrum day's of absalout shit all, then our trips to Wembley under little and the frustration of him leaving.
But then the MON era the cup wins European football teams actually feard us ' but again tarnished with financial issues and shit club management decisions virtually killing the club.
Then of course the wonderful year's we've witnessed 3 unbelievable trophies witnessing the the incredible Jamie vardy story with players like Marez, Schmeichel, Fuchs continue, and also witnessing some terrible overpriced dross along with bad management from the very top has fkd this club and my enthusiasm to the extent where I really have lost interest ' even though i still keep going. This latest farce throughout the club has really knocked the wind out of me completely, the demise in our football in the 2nd half of the season, the nonsense with Rodgers legacy' the guidance or none of the directors and chairman of the club , the financial predicament we find ourselves in but knowing the heartache at the club obviously knew about all along especially with the management of players contracts!! Oh and the farce with the women's team ' personally I couldn't give a toss ' has really made us a laughing stock. So from 2016 to this nonsense Really has made me think what's the point.
This club needs a massive clear out from the very Top , especially at board level. So yes George I know exactly where you're coming from.
Blue army!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Completely understand, I was forced into not going some time ago but I now feel your pain.

After 80 years and now cannot go they still delight and enrage, they still infuriate and that load on my shoulders is still there for us to win what we can the boardroom shanakins have always been with us along with the good bad and the ugly managers.

Don't let the bastards grind you down G

I’ve posted this before and nothing has changed for me since then l let my misses book a flight.
I let my misses book us flights for the day of the Chelsea game, now I've for the hump because l won't be there and l won't even be able to watch it as I'm in the air. That was another knee jerk reaction from me, I've had that many my knees are fucked.

I packed it in from about '75 to '78 but still went to some, but it dragged me back in, you'll be back, as l told you "its a disease" !!

Ah we’ll see. Living a hundred miles away helps. Even a home game is a mission.

What's more, that day in '16 at Chelsea on the Fulham road as everyone was coming out, in a mix of euphoria and disbelief in the beautiful sunshine, with everyone hugging, high fifing, shaking hands and dementedly grinning was a memory that makes me want to be at that place again.

We couldn't ever be happier than them moments.

That's why you can't fuck it off.

I would have gone to the grave with just the Palace play off final win, was still the greatest day of my footballing life.

But to win two League Cups, a Premier League and an FA Cup and to watch them in the Champions League, I’d resign and retire from it all today if I had to.

that was part of my excuse, l was watching the great QPR team as l lived close by, when Stan scored, the whole Loftus road end went nuts but me and my mate just looked at each other. - we knew then we were Leicester and always will be.

I’ve tried with Barking who are 15 minutes walk away from my house but I just can’t get into it.

My local team would be Stockport, it’s taken them ages to get back to verge of League 1, my kids used to get free tickets when they’d dropped out of the Football League, they’re making slow progress back up, it’s not the same buzz watching them though.

My eldest son is 20 and has always supported Man City and in his time supporting them has known nothing but success and will probably continue even if charges happen.

My youngest son is 17 and follows our lot with me, he’s already used the highs and lows, achievement and ineptitude, so the poor bastard has the curse as well.

Well if they go ahead with their threat to make it compulsory for all season tickets to be only availalable via mobile phones next season that will put the faacking tin lid on it and that will be it for me. Full stop.
I'll spend my Satdi afternoons researching OAP care homes for when the wet wipes start arriving from the chemists!

Well there’s worse things you could do than a bit of tinkering, I’ll give you that as we all know 😉😂

Totally agree G.
Having not been able to attend home or away since January i have missed sod all apart from the pre match meet ups with your good self, Wints, and the rest of the lads and lasses.
Watching matches on various streaming sites has left me with the option of switching off and finding something more interesting to watch or do.
If, for whatever reason, we remain in the Championship next season I'll have to seriously consider whether to renew the ST, that I've had for more years than I can remember. I don't think I can stomach another season of the shite that the Championship, to a greater extent, has dished up.
You can love the club in many ways, but there are limits...
