Enzo's not happy

Yeah, I kind of agree but, by the same token as a football manager specifically, if you cannot get given some slack when you are exceeding all expectations in terms of results (which whatever you might think of the aesthetics subjectively is undeniable) then when are you going to get given it?

Edit: Actually I am sure we/he are not exceeding all expectations as some - mainly outside of our fan base - may have foreseen this but most expectations I would say.
As a product he is l agree, but entertainment

values vary (one mans meat is another man's poison ) unfortunately this outburst has upset some punters l don't like his way but who am l as l said like it or lump it, its a means to an end.

It's as boring as f..k, and goalkicks swanvesta to mads back to swanvesta back to mads and a boot up field what's that all about? I fully appreciate the playing about at the back to exploit space behind, that's well and good providing you exploit the space behind! We rarely do, most of the time we stop let the opposition get back then piss about. Having said that not sure it's all enzos doing sat next to the dug out satdi he was urging them forward. But we are top clear of second so I'll take that and just moan at the cat, hope his vision comes to fruition with some better calibre players.

At root, this discussion is about a manager who wants to be appreciated.
This is natural and particularly with a man in his first real managerial job.
He is probably puzzled by the apparent lack of appreciation being shown.
What has really created this atmosphere is his decision to build a collective
solidarity at the expense of individual flare, which we can't affford anyway.
I think this is exactly right in our present circumstances and results prove it
It is the way to the consistency which will get us back where, etc.....
I'll take promotion over a policy of 'we'll be OK if X, Y and Z are on it tonight'.
And anyway we do have some players who can stir the blood which is why I was/am
dismayed that we are even discussing business over KDH.
I do not see other teams coming here with the flare of KDH, Fatty, Vards or Mav...
Carry on Enzo, we love you but we are not a showy lot in this part of the world.

Who says the club were discussing selling KDH? The noise has all been Brighton and the press from what I can tell.

He has been reading MON book (chapter on Sheffield Utd)

The discussion is about the managers reaction to fans moaning.
Since when was it purely about results ?
Where did I say that the situations were identical ?
The only connection I was making was the fans grumbling about the way we were playing and the managers reaction.
MON abandoned Mark McGhee's philosophy of possession football which had taken City to the top of the table. Initially nobody could work out what MON was trying to do, hence the dissatisfaction that followed.
Yes, but you said he could take things on board like MON and improve things. MON needed improvement as we hadn't won, but we're top of the league by a country mile at the moment. So what is he supposed to 'make better' due to some complaining???
more excitement? losing games 4-3? not getting auto-promoted so you can go to Wembley? you're crazy.

At least Rudkin now knows that it's a piece of piss to get rid of him anytime they want without forking out a huge pay-off – just tell him his idea is shit, and he'll fuck off. Simple.

Hang on a minute
Earlier in the season he said if fans weren’t happy they could watch a different team.
At least now he’s realised that we are the permanent fixture round here.

It was a dodgy penalty
thats your opinion but it still suggests that you feel we were lucky and wouldnt have won without it. Donning my tin hat I disagree strongly and suggest that once again, boring to some or not we were the better team by a distance and won deservedly.

We were the better team by some margin but it’s goals that win games and on another day we wouldn’t have got the penalty and their keeper wouldn’t have cocked up his goal kick, net result a draw and 2 points down the crapper.

yes but on another day the keeper wouldnt have pulled off his best ever save and we may not have hit the post. All im saying is that if you score 3 goals you should win a game and with 59 scored and only 23 conceded it cant all be luck

But we did - that's the only point that matters

Did I say improve things ?

I said use the criticism in a positive way.
Nobody is criticising the results or league position
I stated (post 47) that personally I don't think much needs changing.
My only reference to an actual change was saying that Enzo could do something about reducing the game to a snails pace for lengthy periods.
Enzo himself admitted that the period before HT against Swansea did not have the intensity that he wanted.
I only referenced the MON Sheffield United game because it was another occasion when the manager was at loggerheads with the fans.
I didn't attempt to make it a comparison on how we arrived at the 2 situations.
The thread is about the manager not being happy with the fans.

This episode makes me think back as to whether he's admitted to getting anything wrong so far, or whether he's just another of those fuckers who are never to blame for anything themselves.
Can't say any mea culpa's jump out, but then I've been asleep come the end of games half the time....

No there’s nothing he has said he’s done wrong
