I was and I still am against capital punishment in principle.

Though for the principal to hold, I believe we need to have a state (including it's 'organs') that is accountable to the people and a demonstrably fair and functional criminal justice system.

My understanding is that you can be arrested for making a noise that is deemed excessive. Whether it is or not is subjective. That stiffer sentences can be issued for breaches of there new rules. That you can be charged with an offence even if you wasn’t aware you had committed an offence as long as they say you should have known the rules. Once again, all subjective.
