County

A Wins a win. Big advantage to win the group and go straight to the semis with home advantage as I understand the knock out stages.

Ackerman has been told to turn out permanently for the Hundred team based out of Hants. Totally bent.
Absolute fukcin disgrace. And do we get to bring a ringer in...course not. The hundred should never have happened.
Am I right that hundred players can play in the later stages of the 50 over one day competition?

Semi Finals and Final I think

Only by accident, have I ever seen a ball bowled in the 100, I have nothing but contempt for the shit show. I'm watching Yorks v Hants on stream at the mo, proper 50 over cricket and not a firework in sight

Imagine if they invested that money and effort in to the actual county game.

I'm not alone in thinking that the County Championship will be scrapped inside 10 years
Sadly I think that you are right. Some made up regional series of 4 dayer's as a warm up for the Ashes and that will be that. Cricket in it's purest form will be gone.
Probably some other gimmicks like 2 day matches, or 3 team games (think they tried that in SA and it wasn't quite as bad as you might have expected).

Ex Leicestershire Ben Mike took 3 wickets giving away 84 runs including 14 wides then got castled first ball

unfortunately we are outnumbered by people who only see the bottom line, they don’t care about cricket just money,I also don’t watch the 100 but have caught a couple of overs now and again, how can you support a fucking franchise!!
I am willing to bet my house that not one cricket loving person on this board would contemplate supporting the Trent Rockets, it is cricket for the thick cunts who know fuck all about the great game.

Fucking too right.

In other news, it's almost certain that the County and Hampshire (who are both on 10) will fight out the first two palces

It's for women and kids.
Ben Mike was expensive for us but has been ruined by the big move, just like Zal Chappel.
Kent losing to Notts is nice though.

I hate the 100 & can see no reason why we need it, the T20 Blast more than suffices for people with an attention span of nil who just go for a piss up.

I intend to go tomorrow but the weather forecast does not look good

Exactly this. It's to attract a new audience, those with a short attention span in need of constant entertainment. Get them interested then start tempting them with one day cricket, eventually test matches. The 100 is just an unnecessary mess.

It's a total mess but has been good for the womens game which I appreciate is a bit of an irrelevance to many.
It's got quite a few kids who wouldn't otherwise engage interested.
No need for it though, The Blast has got a reputation as being a bit of a piss up. That doesn't suit everyone. But they could have retained the Friday piss ups and targeted the non drinking market with the Sunday afternoon games.

Us and Hampshire. And Ackerman is basically playing for the Hampshire Hundred team. Funny that.

We could do with a win today against on paper poor opposition. Let’s hope the rain isn’t severe and we can somehow get a win, even with reduced overs.

The late start will help, hopefully, the rain will have pushed through by then

Agree with all the posts on The Hundred.
I think it's a circus.
No other countries have taken up this format as they have a thriving 20/20 competition.
