I can't believe 'ponce' hasn't been mentioned. To ponce is much maligned by some but I've never see the problem - tickets that would otherwise be unused get paid for and the seller ought to be in receipt of a pint or two by the grateful recipient. A win-win scenario.

That's if the transaction is conducted properly and in a gentlemanly fashion of course. There has been some notable abuse of the arrangement: GTIF and the Bear running off with Charley Farley's ST being the most obvious, though the aftermath was a very funny saga.

Ha haa, some of the season ticket ponces were good fun to read on the old Bentleys, I never had a problem when I let some of the Roofers use my season tickets when I couldn’t make the games...
