Anyone going out for a last hurrah?

My son had that op when he was 10. So did Tony Blair when he was PM. Makes a huge difference and very high success rate. Good luck, you'll be right as rain in a couple of days.
Thanks for the encouragement NwF. Hope your lad is OK.

That said, you could remove the heart totally from Bliar and it would make no difference... ;)

Thought lockdown starts just after midnight?
Yes. But there's nothing to stop a family detonating some whizz-bangs in the garden whilst lagering and scoffing. Unless you feel obliged to invite extended family / outlaws – in which case you have the prefect excuse why you can't (y)

Would dearly love to be out tonight but I can't.

Just back from Bournemouth hospital, several hours doing various pre-op checks including a bloody Covid 19 test.

If all goes well, I am in for cardio ablation on Saturday. Essentially heart surgery where they go in through a blood vessel in my groin and poke about in the lower chambers of my heat.

The aim is destroy some small sections of the heart muscle to steady my heart rate which is currently erratic and controlled, quite poorly, by medication.

Need to rest and avoid infections, particularly covid. As it gets closer it gets a bit scary so could really do with a drink or 10.
Hope all goes well mate. Let us know when you’re right again. 👍

Thanks for the thought Outfoxed, very kind.

I have to say that I am somewhat bricking it this week, the fact that NwF lad had it at aged 10 makes be feel a bit of a wuss...
