Anyone going out for a last hurrah?

Table for 6 booked after work booked in my local Quintrell Inn, beer prices are tumbling by the hour...

Got some industrial strength fireworks to let off. Some lagers and a bit of fodder, with the family.

Hobgoblin in my hand as we speak, meal out with the mrs later and then a round of crazy golf at one of these indoor night club looking places. Never been. No idea if it’s any good but we will find out!

I used to do kickboxing above the Marquis.

1852 is supposed to be decent nowadays although I’ve not drank in there for a long time.

Yeah I had some good nights in there, some lock ins when Lennox Lewis was fighting.

left in a state a few times.

In Wetherspoon's trying to master the art of using a knife and fork properly so I can eat my bowl of straw!

Would dearly love to be out tonight but I can't.

Just back from Bournemouth hospital, several hours doing various pre-op checks including a bloody Covid 19 test.

If all goes well, I am in for cardio ablation on Saturday. Essentially heart surgery where they go in through a blood vessel in my groin and poke about in the lower chambers of my heat.

The aim is destroy some small sections of the heart muscle to steady my heart rate which is currently erratic and controlled, quite poorly, by medication.

Need to rest and avoid infections, particularly covid. As it gets closer it gets a bit scary so could really do with a drink or 10.

All the best with that AFC. Have a small sherry on me. Bristol Cream if you have it.

Living in southern Spain, as I did, a chilled 'Fino' was part of the regular diet. Bristol Cream, not so much.
Thanks for the thought though.

Good luck with that Dorset. Grace Slick will see you through it.
I do hope so.
Only just thought of this but my all time favourite song of Graces was called Greasy Heart, from the second 'proper' Airplane album, Crown of Creation.

How the fuck do you manage to watch City with a heart like yours? it must be a strongun, 'Today' has to be one of my fave Airplane tracks.

Actually it was perfectly decent until lockdown.

Pretty decent shape for my age, gym 4 times a week, busy life, regular at a couple of local music pubs and a younger fitter Mrs AFC to keep me on my toes.

Within a few weeks of lockdown I got very sick indeed, needed to see a cardiac specialist but, due to lockdown, it took ages.
In the end went private and have the procedure on Saturday, assuming I don't test +ve for the plague.

Aim is to get it done and home in good time for the Wolves game.

My son had that op when he was 10. So did Tony Blair when he was PM. Makes a huge difference and very high success rate. Good luck, you'll be right as rain in a couple of days.
