Why are some people so scared that crowds for women's football are increasing (froma very low level I agree)? Why does just the idea of womens' football upset people?
I don't watch it live or on TV but if others want to then that's their choice and good luck to them.
 
Yes and its on Sky Sports Main Event tonight so its obviously really, really popular amongst Sky subscribers
 
It's on SKY so it will be a commercial decision. If the viewing figures hold up then no doubt they will increase coverage. If not then it will be dropped. The BBC have a legal remit to broad representation so it fulfils a role for them. The internationals are popular, I have no idea about the PL. I've watched the odd game but it's novelty value at the major tournaments, like rugby or tennis. Not an obsession in the way that I'm currently watching a rather dull game between Birmingham and WBA.

Hackney, the answer to your question is that they feel threatened as their notions of male superiority are challenged.
In their world, women and girls should ask permission to play something from their male superiors.
They should fuck off to Kabul where their views are not only acceptable but law.
Who would be a woman or girl anywhere near these twisted minds?

You‘re all missing the point. No one has any problem with women playing rubbish football, or with anyone that wants to watch it. The point is the media coverage and promotion of it is not parable with its worth. I’d rather have more championship, division one, division two coverage than a forced media interest in women and football. Do you get it yet?

Yesterday's match programme 50/50 with the women's game v Everton women. Supposedly a one off but I'm not so sure. They are desperately trying to get everyone 'on board'.
Well in case anyone from the clubs media reads the roof can I just say that I have collected City programmes since the age of 12. I have every home game since I was born, almost 60 years worth. 6 pages about LCFCW is more than enough in the programme. They produce their own programme for their fixtures - is that loaded with stuff about the opposite sex team I wonder? I have no interest in reading about or watching LCFCW. It's called freedom of choice. If the programme continues in this format I will no longer be buying it and I will not be the only one.
 
They seriously want to get paid the same as men.

For this, it makes them just plain stupid. No one as explained to them, and it really shouldn't need explaining, that the money comes from the amount of people who watch mens football and the advertising and merchandise revenues.

It's fucking barking mad to be honest ! I'm all for them playing football, but don't demand that we watch it or worse, pay to watch it.
