The ladies' Ashes has been brilliant entertainmentI know the wimmin’s game divides opinion hereabouts(and brings out plenty of dinosaur instincts) but I’m quite looking forward to watching it.

QED as per usual Mr. JanusPervy old git
Whilst there is an element of truth in this still when compared to the men's game (you need to change it to "less rolling on the floor feigning injury"), this will increasingly be seen to be what it is; a lazy arsed trope (along with "all women goalkeepers are jokes") that just isn't the case these days. The failure to recognise or acknowledge the increasing occurrence of such things in the Women's game by those in or around it will in time see it fully embedded in the way it now is in the Men's game.Yes but no rolling on the floor feigning injury surrounding the ref etc
I kept thinking Italy was City in that all blue Adidas kit.Italy verses Argentina was brilliant, best game ive seen for ages.
What "it" is is likely to depend on your viewpoint. The "hype" is just reflective of the media's need (and specifically those covering women's football) to generate interest (i.e. traffic) & is hardly a new phenomenon (to see a previous example see also BSkyB [then Sky, BT etc.] & The Premier League). I am not denying that some people are influenced by the hype (indeed that is what the game is hoping for both in terms of spectators & players) but it is possible to have a viewpoint that isn't influenced by the hype (or even to have such a viewpoint whilst being nauseated by the hype - again a bit like the Premier League). Some see it for what it is, others believe the hype machine surrounding it.
Nobody’s demanding you accept it.It's not football!!!! It may use the same law's ' But that's where it ends.
If its your thing good, I just don't and can't accept it.
I think you’ll find the media are giving it a damn good goNobody’s demanding you to accept it.
More so than the men’s World Cup or Euros?I think you’ll find the media are giving it a damn good go
The BBC ‘don’t do advertising’ but they’re advertising this relentlessly
And that's just the crowd!!Football as we knew it ended when it became a non contact sport.
Who said anything about demand???Nobody’s demanding you accept it.
I personally don't like Basketball and don't watch it , it's because I don't like it exactly the same with women's football!!!!Really enjoying it, small countries standing up far better than I thought they would, Haiti, Jamaica and Philippines especially.
That save at the end of the NZ vs Philippines earlier was top drawer, better than anything Danny Ward produced this season.
I genuinely don’t understand the level of scorn directed to the women’s game, it baffles me.
Fucking hell, I used to despair at those (mum included) who moaned at the disruption caused to TV schedules by World Cups, Euro Championships, Open Golf, Test Matches, Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Wimbledon etc., etc. and that was when there were only 3 fucking TV channels and no streaming services.I’d like a choice but it seemed forced on us by the mainstream media even moving the ITV schedule to accommodate it.
