Snivelling Arab

Well he is 32. So £30 million might be a decent fee for Man City.
Which airport departure lounge is he snivelling at?

From The Mirror (albeit written two days ago) (and perhaps made up anyway):

Winger Mahrez was unhappy with his lack of game time towards the end of last season and could decide the time is right for him to move on. Mahrez was an unused substitute in both the Champions League and FA Cup finals and wants assurances about playing time at City before making a decision.

Oh dear! Is he at the airport already?

Do we have a sell on clause? Apparently we're skint so could do with looking down the back of the sofa.

What manager will ever give those kind of assurances?
Not Guardiola, that’s for sure. There are very few players in the world with the chutzpah to sit in front of Pep and demand more guaranteed playing time - however, I suspect Mahrez is one of them.

Sorry - we turned him from a player valued at £450,000 to one valued at £60 Million. And for that he treated LCFC like garbage.
And for that I won't forgive him.
Keep snivelling, Mahrez.
Soho I think you would be hard pressed to identify any occasions when he let us down on the pitch. Compare with the season of dross we just got from a number of other stars. And we spent the £60m on....

It's a fact that I don't need to like the player to appeciate them and know that without them (and others) we wouldn't have one the league and I wouldn't have been filled with wonder and awe watching his silky skills.

You miserable gits can carry on moaning because he decided to leave, it's what players do, you should be old enough and ugly enough to have accepted that by now.

To add, one in a long line of talented footballers with questionable personalities. As you say, doesn't stop you admiring their skill & what they contributed to the club.

It doesn't alter the fact that he was a mardy arsed shit that downed tools on us and he's doing it again because he can't get his own way
In this instance, it's not our problem. If there's any % coming to us as a result of the sale, that's when we become interested.

Most of us on here are old gits who remember the old days with rose tinted glasses. As Hackney has said Weller has a suspect temperament but that doesn’t mean I despise the guy. That one moment where he refused to come out for the 2nd half is far outweighed by some of the stuff I witnessed in his 7 years with us.
What I will say about Mahrez is that he has THE biggest joker in his back pocket over pretty much anyone who has played for our beloved club in its 139 year history. He played a MAJOR part in us winning the league. He can IMO sulk as much as he likes but what I do know is without him we wouldn’t have won it. End of. He stayed with us for 5 years, was one of the best footballers I’ve ever seen at our club ( I’ve never seen anyone trap a 60 yd pass like him) and it gave us a £60m profit. Bloody win win win.

At the end of the day we’ve provided many players at great financial reward from the ‘big’ clubs. It’s what it is. West Ham lost Rice, Villa lost Grealish. It’s what it is

All the talent in the world doesn't excuse behaving like a petulant hormonal school girl.

It's a great pity that my memory of him is tainted by the way he conducted himself at the end, I can't forgive him for insulting the club and fans

I agree to an extent but they’re all the bloody same. Let’s say we’d have survived last season and said to Maddison you’re staying. I suspect he’d have had a tantrum. Tielemans refusal to sign a new contract could be taken as petulant. Same as Maddison. No different IMO. It’s all about the player nowadays. There’s not a jot of loyalty as we know
