It’s a win but

Not at all. All this passing around at the back, sideways. It's facking shite to watch and no different to watching a Bodgers set up.
Don't find it boring to watch at all as you know that any minute they're going to spring the trap, pass into the hole the opposition just got forced into making and that Winks has now moved into.

If you watch ManC you see the constant creation of triangles. It is almost muscle memory with them.
So every passer and receiver is joined by another body. When done properly the result is a fluid style
of play which retans possession and should progress up the field.

Second half certainly was but we’d done what we needed to do, perhaps he didn’t want to risk injuries.

100%. It was just a case of getting mins into their legs surely. The game was over. No need to go gung ho at this stage of the season

Here is the big difference between this year and last year so far, slightly oversimplified.

This year: cb gets the ball gives it to either winks or an outside man who passes it to another teammate. that teammate could be the cb, the fb, the dm, a more forward mid or a forward wide man. unpredictable, not easy to contain.

Last year: cb passes to wilf/other def mid who passes it to an opposition player or gets caught in possession, or cb passes out wide. for the most part, predictable and easy to contain.
