It’s a win but

boooooooring!
Just said we had 800 passes, can't remember when, if we've ever had more, still think there was far too much passing between defenders at the back. Hopefully this is just a transitional thing and we will start to do things with a lot more purpose. But for now 2 wins from 2 we are building our confidence and there is nothing like winning.

Take notice of what Mark Robins said.
Basically the way Leicester played Cov, we ran the legs out of them .
He admitted that their players started to struggle later in the game with keeping up their intensity against us, therefore they struggled to contain us later in the game.
That's what Man City do. Sometimes I watch them and think ' get on with it ' but there is a method in it.
Barcelona's tippy happy wasn't always a great watch but they knew how to suck the life out of opponents before delivering a killer blow.
We are certainly not Barcelona or Man City, but I see that approach as being a powerful weapon.
It's a case of be patient and the rewards will come.
Let's see.

If they can get Maresca a couple more players who can implement his system it’ll be a season to remember.

He’s defo incoming, I’ve was talking to an Italian bloke in the kebab shop, he knows his mum’s cousin and he says it’s a fucking cert. So I’ve put twenty quid on with me mate Johnny Carpark that he’ll be a Leicester player before a week on Tuesday.

They explained why all the passing at the back post match, it’s to pull oppo players out of position and then the forward pass to Winks/Ricardo or out to wide players.

I'm not griping - but when you come down to it, is there a huge difference from Rogersball?
Yes, only 2 games gone but looks a huge turnaround from what we were (n’t) doing last season. Looks like there’s a plan and the players have signed up for it.

🤞 It's just all that close passing at the back looks so risky at times. But yeah, even during pre-season you could smell the ozone instead of the poo!
Got such high hopes for this season; so good to feel pride in that blue shirt again.

Could've been a repeat of f@#@@t in the fa cup...with tiny Happy clap hands scribbling down ways of blaming everyone else but himself.
Enjoy it...it'll get better.

Absolutely there is.
I was impressed with how quick they were trying to get the ball back when we lost it, especially 1st half ( it led to the 1st goal)
Our intensity, especially with it being lower league opposition was great to see. Absolutely nothing like it was under the fraud.

We also seem to have pre-set patterns available to us, to beat the press .

A couple of times against cov the ball went from keeper to opponents half within 4 or 5 quick passes, each player knowing exactly where to pass it to, as it had been coached into them. Not just passing for the sake of passing and hoping a gap appears. Actual coaching.

Did you notice that several players had lumps in the back of their shirts? That’s the receiver for the remote control being worked from the bench
