I'm surprised and somewhat disappointed. Very poor sixthswan. How about the same treatment that he gave to Lee Rigby. He should definitely be entitled to that. Hope he dies.
Good point CB. No other nation has a legal system or public healthcare, and no other nation has scrapped the death penalty. One of the things that sets us apart from other nations is our legal system and the NHS. We don't have the death penalty and we treat people who are ill.
I kind of know what you mean Dorset but personally I think you should forfeit that right when you take away someone's life.
Rubbish.I think Lee Rigby had the right to walk down the high street without having his head hacked off with a rusty blade, Dorset
It's not an issue of the left. Tories have been in power for 10 years.Given that our 'leaders', along with pretty much everyone on the left are keen on seeing criminal justice as a 'social services' problem, then this is what you get.
They have the death penalty in the US, how are their levels of violent crime compared to ours?It certainly has little to do with party or parliamentary politics.
It is just the culmination of the massive shift in thinking that has taken place in the last 30-40 years. This has been driven by left wing ideas, under the name 'common purpose', it is now so all pervasive that many do not see what is behind it.
As I have said, we are extremely soft on crime, particularly violent crime and until we choose to deal with it it will just get worse.
BTW. How do you rationalise the phrase 'Not capital punishment, Just death'?
I did not even suggest the death penalty hackney, you are just making things up.They have the death penalty in the US, how are their levels of violent crime compared to ours?
Criminals don’t expect to get caught (and generally don’t) why would they worry about more severe sentencing?
BTW. How do you rationalise the phrase 'Not capital punishment, Just death'?
No qualms here about wishing the two of them had been put to death sharpish.Sorry sixthswan, that is obscene. if you think he should be (or have been) executed, say so and stand by your decision.
If not, perhaps it would be best to say nothing.
That's aimed at u dorset. If it had been ur brother, sister, father or mother, daughter, son or grandchildren that had been hacked to death whether ud be happy with the justice system, u can't defend scumbags.
You said we were particularly soft on violent crime, I gave an example of a country that is far from soft in crime.I did not even suggest the death penalty hackney, you are just making things up.
Don’t agree with capital punishment whatever the crime. If it had been ur brother, sister, father or mother, daughter, son or grandchildren that had been hacked to death whether ud be happy with the justice system, u can't defend scumbags.
Sorry sixthswan, that is obscene. if you think he should be (or have been) executed, say so and stand by your decision.

It is obscene and they were found guilty and sentenced according to our laws. We don't have the death penalty. You can't pick and choose who dies just because of the level of horror of a certain incident.Hacking someone to death in the street is obscene.
Sorry oxonfox. Time to 'get your hands dirty'.Those two have been a problem whilst in prison, fighting wiv prison guards, they have not learned anything, they still have a dangerous idealogy, may god do justice and rid us of these deluded scumbags.
Are you advocating the death penalty here filbo, 'cruel and unusual punishment maybe'.No qualms here about wishing the two of them had been put to death sharpish.
By the same means would've been my preference, but I accept that any method (ideally quite slow and painful) would have sufficed.
The point of a criminal justice system is to remove the element of personal revenge from the punishment. Even you know that. That's aimed at u dorset.
