Many farmers sons dont go into farming, but apparently, many from outside the farming community, do. Also, the old boys are reluctant to retire, as they are probably last in a long line of family that have farmed their land for generations. So, the govt are offering to pay the old boys to hand over the reigns to, “new blood”. Anyone who has no experience of farming, can find it hard to understand just how consuming and pure chuffing hard a life it is.
