When did you first think we're fooked

Losing back to back aways 5-2 and 6-2 to Brighton and Spurs. I was convinced then we would go down. The renaissance that happened after that clouded everyone's judgment. The writing was on the wall when we slumped at home to Fulham in the new year 1-0, and he should have gone when Southampton beat us 1-0.

Prior to kicking off last season I thought we’d be relegated last season, having seen displays the previous season that earmarked potentially the worst team in the league
Prior to the start of this season I thought we’d definitely be relegated this season

There were so many glaring signs that the rate and sheer amount of degradation throughout the team coupled with the most subversive and abhorrent coach in football history would definitely culminate in going down.

The only thing that caused any doubt in my mind was not anything on the pitch, but the majority of opinion on here…. pointing out that my fears were misplaced and that statistics show we have the best manager the club have ever had……

When Soho didn’t put his early bet on relegation I thought it’s more likely to happen this season than not.

Said it before, Chelsea away.
A lot of people dismiss this because it was “chelsea” the name.
This was also one ( of many) faults of that scumbag in charge, thinking far too much about the name of the club he was coming up against next, & paying no attention to the actual real time situation.
Chelsea were & as we all know been shit the entire season. On top of that they had a player sent off after half hour with the score at 0-0. To lose any game against anyone when you’re playing 10 men for so long is criminal, to lose it to a poor side was, well………..

Southampton at home, I'd given him the benefit of the doubt last season with our injuries but after first two games, his antics during Brentford game, i thought we were awful at Arsenal, then being one up v Saints and getting everyone behind the ball last 20 ( aa usual it didn't work) was the time i knew we were done under him.

I thought after losing at Forest. But 100% when we lost at Southampton. Two terrible performances. It was obvious by then that for whatever reason Top wasn’t going to pull the trigger and get rid of Bodgers.
I’m actually thinking now that it would have made little difference if we’d have replaced him even as late as January. The players contract situations meant their heads were elsewhere. Looking back at some of those wins this season you realise that we won because on the day those teams we played were absolutely awful, not us being better.

The likes of Snooty and bnet deserve a lot of credit, and an apology from me, because they were well ahead of the curve, they saw the coming tsunami out on the horizon. The FA Cup and the two fifths duped me into giving Rodgers more credit than he deserved. But just before the end of last season I at last saw the light, and the shite, and realised the depth of the trouble we were in.

Its been on the cards for the thick end of two years. To many the decline went unnoticed, but things got steadily worse. Notts away was the obvious point of no return.

July when they didn't sack him.
Sneaking into 8th with end of season wins over two relegated teams and a very poor Soton saved his ass - the point, during that late run of games at Chelsea, was the luckiest point gained ever - we were wank

When we blew Champions League qualification for the second time - its been a long steady decline since then

After Brentford in first game of the season. It was obvious TCR had decided to bail.
Same here!

I was cautiously optimistic for this season before that: no European football as a distraction, and I hoped with a good preseason and no major injuries the evident decline of the previous season with some really bad performances could be turned around.

Giving away a two-goal lead and the excuses afterwards in particular made me seriously worry for the first time that this could turn into a relegation dogfight.

Losing at home to Bournemouth and Villa within the space of a few days. Can't remember the third fixture in that sequence but they were 3 games before a difficult sequence where we simply had to get points. The notion that we still had enough talent to pull clear completely evaporated after that.

"Fooked" as in relegation? About 15 minutes into the pre-season game at Leuven I thought we were in deep do-do. I don't generally read anything into pre-season games but for a squad that had not changed they looked all over the shop. Saw nothing else in pre-season to ease those concerns. The first 60 minutes against Brentford gave me hope that there might be 3 worse teams than us and that has been the one thread that sustained me right up until Southampton away since when I have seen no escape from relegation.

"Fooked" in a wider sense? There was always the feeling that missing out on the top 4 not once but twice would bite us in the arse. Last season was largely gruesome & the overall trajectory was clear.
