There was a real disco scene at Adam and Eve on Thursday nights. I don't mean Saturday Night Fever disco. Much more underground.I loved it. I was one of those rare creatures that loved the energy of punk, but also disco. Later I progressed to the Prohibition Club (I do love a balcony) and finally The Cooler before I eventually left Leicester to work in the music business in London.Adam and Eve or Il Rondo

Used to go Sunday nights in the days of weird licensing laws when you had to have a meal so they served free food.Yes most Friday nights , ex business partner was a singer in a band there the Daddy ruff I think
Was up there for one of the original babies SH getting let out of nick. Kicked off later that night and Mr RK was doing the doors and came out swinging punches .Anybody remember 'Le Chateau' aka 'Le Shithole' up the London Road early 80's? Our post-pub haunt for a bit of rough wine and dancing the light fantastic. Not 'arf pop pickers!

Grannies? Mario's chippy was brilliantWe always used to end up at Aunties after a night on the ale.
No idea why we thought it was orth the hike up London Road.
Marios chippy on the walk home.
Out of the city weren’t Hinckley decent in the early 90’s union back of the bounty and ritzys, more Cov fans than I’d like to see though for some reason.
Also Royal haven at Fenny Drayton what a night on a Wednesday, packed to the rafters disco and fall into the big pond on way out!
Brilliant mate remember when a load of cars got pinched at same time in the haven car park it was bedlamWe nicked a barrel of lager from out the back of the Royal Haven one night.Just rolled it into the boot of the car and scarpered with it. Next away match we had it set up in the back of the Tallis hire van. Reg the landlord at the Princes Feathers set it up for us with the taps and we set off for Charlton. I was driving and the mad fuckers in the back were filling saucepans and vases, anything they could lay their hands on. When I parked up near the ground and they all piled out 2 gobsmacked coppers looked at the barrel sitting resplendently in the back, shook their heads and said “we ain’t seen this lads, right”!
On the way back some mardy old landlord threw us out of his pub in Towcester. The lads said “go get the van quick” and by the time I came round the corner with it they had dragged the pub juke box out into the middle of the A5!
