We Dodged A Bullet

Burnley are always moaning that they have no money; I suspect they'll regret not cashing in at £40m last summer.
 
Rodgers likes him so I think we should expect to probably go in for him in January and I think we'll get him this time. We need a big bugger who can win headers in box boxes.
 
Summer 22.
I'd be truly amazed if Burnley sell him in Jan whilst fighting desperately to stay up, given that they ignored the dangled cash last summer. It would make zero sense, unless they can find his replacement straightaway mid-season.
He has form for going on strike to get a move, and appears to have made it clear that he'll be off. But I can't see that being before the summer, personally.
Whether he's the best we could do then, who knows...

He isn't that big. Shorter than Fofana, Evans, Amartey and Fuchs. Same height as Cags and Wes

Do we really need another centre back at the moment ?
I know that Morgan, Evans and Fuchs are coming to the end of their careers, but surely we are not desperate for January.

I don't think that Evans or his manager think that he is anywhere near the end of his career.
