l think both were off side and the free kick wasn't a free kick, but we still deserved to lose.

Pathetic attempt from Smith and his players who he now lies about how good they are on the training ground.

My opinion is VAR is OK, it's the people that use it eg miss obvious offences and draw incorrect lines.
Anyway, we won't have it next season

That second goal was a perfect illustration of the problem with VAR. Totally dependent on when VAR deem the pass was made. Is it when the ball separates from Salah's foot (if so how do they gauge that), when he first touches it, halfway thru striking it, who knows but the outcome re Jones' position varies by a yard dependent on this. And thats without knowing the accuracy of the lines being drawn straight across the pitch

Totally agree...this is why I think they should make the attackers line about 3 times as thick. Takes away some of the uncertainty ref. which frame to stop the picture on, and also gives a benefit of doubt to the attacker.

Would help it they showed the picture when salah actually played the pass to Jones because that isn’t it.
Evans body is facing forward when the ball is played through to Jones & he was onside.

Yeah, always annoyed me that. It also feels at times that depending on who they draw the line for first some officials almost feel like the other line is drawn basis the same body part (so arm for one, arm for the other... irrespective of where the foot is... and vice versa). That said, in the game last night I was surprised by both VAR referrals. Didn't realise they were so close.

Yep. Win some lose some. But would improve the game imo...how many goals this season have you not celebrated fully cos you're just waiting for the bullshit referral. I reckon it's prob about 80%.
