Today's Burning Question

Actually you are right. Don't fancy the all inclusive crap.
Most of the Lanzarote hotels seem to have switched over to all inclusive only.
Bollox to that.

I'm doing an Airbnb break in Hunstanton early June with grandaughter Ngolo and her parents.
Not sure I could face Skeggy as well after that!

Expected a pitchforks and flaming faggots thread, as we all march up to the huge wooden doors of Dr Brendanstein’s Schloss.

Princess Yaiza or Volcan in Playa Blanca are far superior to anything Costa Teguise has to offer. Celebrate our demise in style!

I usually stay at the Hotel Melia Salinas in Costa Teguise. Very decent.
I see its now called the Paradisus Salinas Hotel.
I’d strongly advise going fully inclusive at Ingoldmells, maybe with Brother of John to counsel you and yours spiritually for what you’ve done. You can order wristbands for the whole party online for Fantasy Island, with its seven day market, where you have the choice of dining either at Castaways or Captain Jack’s, which Is rightly famous for its razzle dazzle tribute acts, such as ‘Typically Tina’ and ‘Forever Peter Taylor’. Unfortunately the other big local attraction, Hardy’s Animal Farm, is temporarily closed.

Stick with Skegvegas
Wonderful welcome by the local hoteliers, many have even learnt to speak Southern Softie
Always a wide choice of traditional breakfasts available (fried or boiled)
Take an invigorating ride on a thoroughbred steed on golden sands with the wind blowing through your syrup
Partake of locally sourced and tasty street food
Chill in a local hostelry serving traditional ales and fromage et onion cobs
Partake in stimulating entertainment where you can win thrilling prizes for a full house
Spend a few quiet moments catching up with world events reading the Leicester Mercury
Take an early evening stroll to one of the many first class restaurants serving local delicacies like Big Mac, Nuggets and Fries
While away the evening with the locals playing traditional sports like shove ha'penny or dominoes
And maybe brush up on your pugilistic skills at the local Puke and Punch where modern chemistry is freely available to help you relax
What's not to like?

I was in Hastings last Friday. A bit of a dump in the new part, but nice in the old part, plus plenty of good watering holes.
and most importantly, mini-golf.
