I didn't say it wasn't on the horizon, of course it is but rather than a big conspiracy for world domination or whatever it's probably more to do with it just being more convenient, especially for the younger generation, I know my kids very rarely use cash and I pay for pretty much most things using my phone (obviously I don't spend much money being a minimum wage unskilled worker )

Do you still think everyone should have their wages paid in cash? Do you think companies should have thousands of pounds in their offices waiting for people to come and collect them? or is it safer and easier to pay people by a bank transfer?

Multiply those £20 transactions by millions each day and boom. Banks are making millions each day for doing fuck all at yours and everyone else’s expense.
