The Turning Point For Me

Was the last 15 minutes of the last game of the season in May 2021.
Yes we had won the FA Cup. And we were 2-1 up against Spurs with a top 4 place and Champions League spot in our grasp.
On comes Gareth Bale who proceeds to take the piss and Spurs rattle in goals for fun and win 4-2.
So its into Europa League and worse.
We never recovered from that.
Yes Top waved the FA Cup round the pitch after the game - I think (I was so pissed off I didn't stay to watch).
But that embarrassingly woeful 15 minutes tragedy was the seminal turning point in Leicester City's history.
And we haven't yet seen the full horror unfold - we've still got that to come.

there was a lot of games that we should have realised how weak TCR had made us, we became the image of the wanker.

Fully agree, same for me, but I did stay to see the cup.

My old man, bless his soul, said to me after the West Ham debacle (4-1) that there was a problem, I, of course, paid no attention

We won away at Old Trafford and then won the FA Cup.
It went downhill from there...
Man utd threw that game with a shocking starting 11 due to them having to play 3 games in something like 6-7 days & we were the middle match & we only just scraped a win in another really poor display.
They saved there strongest line up for the following game against Liverpool

They’ve been 3 major turning points for me which have each ensured we’ve gone, steadily in some cases, fast in others, downhill
The first and most important was Vichai’s death. The WHOLE club got caught up with the emotion of it all ( quite right) but sadly with the Boss gone everyone took their eye off the ball. It’s clear this season in particular that Top wasn’t and isn’t up to the job. He’s not his dad and he never will be. He’s entrusted many others to do their jobs and they’ve collectively screwed up.
Secondly our recent demise started with not getting into the CL first time round. The pandemic matches were awful for us. Letting in a last second equaliser at Watford, the Bournemouth debacle and other matches meant we’d blown a 14 point lead.

The final turning point was as Soho says the following season and that Spuds match. We then lost Fofana in pre season and bought Vestergaard to compensate. But we were already in free fall and nobody at the club took it seriously. Nobody thought that Leicester would be relegated. We were too good to go down. Sadly we’re not

The Turning Point For Me…

… was the appointment of Brendan Rodgers.

Enthusiastic owners with a plan and willingness to invest
A playing squad the envy of most.

Imagine if a good manager was appointed at that time…..

Instead, the welcoming of the Trojan horse and subsequent destruction of an empire

Was that the game where Maddison had to be dropped because he attended an illegal gathering at house in a small village just off the A47?

Remember the Boxing Day home game v Liverpool 2019 when they should've scored 10. Someone posted on here ' how the fuck are we 3rd in the league'

For me it was the appointment of Shakey after Ranieri went. Worst decision ever.
I loved Claudio too but we were wobbling and Vichai took decisive action (just like lots on here are saying Top should have). Shakey steadied the ship with two or three wins after that.
