The Lady’s Not for Gurning

Please - not this again. Brexit has actually happened, & that's why we're in so much of the shit we're in right now.

None of those championing it & that convinced you to vote for it, actually had a credible plan, which is why they used so many divisive means to convince people otherwise.
Of course they had a plan. That you choose not see it is almost as daft as you thinking that we have actually left the EU.

By credible plan, I meant actually undertaking Brexit without it significantly harming the UK for generations. Almost as daft as thinking we could undertake Brexit solely propelled by blue passports, "sovereignty" & three-word slogans.

You really are an inept and quite negative person. How many times do I have to explain this to you.

Brexit was none of those silly things that you insist on bringing into the conversation, Brexit was an opportunity.

It was a chance to change this country massively for the better, making full usage of the resources that we have to build a better, self reliant country that looks after it's own interests and gets on with. That we were never allowed to even make a start on this was the greatest crime in modern British history.

AFC, I get the sentiment but how would that happen when vast amounts of our infrastructure and manufacturing was / is owned by foreign interests?

Not a shred of a plan within what you've written. Had you included 'sunlit uplands', 'unleashing potential' & 'Britannia unchained', I would have a full house on my bingo card.

And just because you think Brexit was a good idea, doesn't make you automatically "positive".

Does "fuck right off" count as a three word slogan?

And we have vast holdings in other countries. We continue to encourage investment but, over time make it clear that such investment does not buy privilege or influence. We should buy back any of those things that should, in the broadest sense, be in the public sector, otherwise it is just business and none of the governments business.

Clearly such an enterprise will be expensive, our first priority should be to revitalise the economy on business grounds, not capricious political agendas. I could go on, but I am sure you get my drift.

You have a remarkably linear and constricted mind so I doubt that you will understand this.

You need no plan beyond doing things and making decisions in the best interests of this country.

The world is a flexible and interesting place, no plan will survive contact with that. Get on with it, do what works, dump what doesn't and keep moving forward. Do not engage with the EU, work with any country, including those in the EU, that wants to trade and do business with us. It will undoubtably change us as a country, about bloody time

I cannot help the fact that you feel hoodwinked by those you chose to believe would deliver your precious Brexit & end up having to lash out at anyone that questions you.

And what's the rambling in your last paragraph about?!

As I have explained to you many times, the histrionics of the Brexit campaign meant nothing to me.
The only person deliberately hoodwinking the British people was Cameron and his promise to 'Implement the result of the referendum whatever it It may be'. That a legal, democratically British Prime Minister would lie so blatantly is still quite astonishing to', that there have been no consequences, equally so.

As for the rest, I knew you simply would not understand, it is a complex situation that requires an intelligent and flexible approach. The British establishment could not let happen, it would upset too many of their cosy, fo them, arrangements.

Indeed. Media editorials extolling or demonising specific political parties should be a criminal offence & political parties should only be funded by individual members (not through association) through membership fees capped at a maximum of £50.
It’s a great idea, the reduction in bull shit during an election campaign would make it almost bearable

As you say, a complex situation. However, if it had been executed with wild abandon as you suggested, then we’d be even further in the shit.
