Taxi For Revie

Roofer
You're the manager of Leicester City and your star player has just been rushed to hospital with blood streaming uncontrollably from a burst vessel at the back of his nose. What do you do next?

a) Leave him in hospital until he's made a full recovery.
b) Subject him to an eight hour journey in the back of a taxi.

If you answered b) you are Johnny Duncan, Leicester legend.

Why on earth did he make that decision?

All will become clear:

Enzo's comments about the long journey to Plymouth and the tough schedule of matches made me smile, thinking about Revie's journey and the prospect of four games in four days if we'd needed a replay in that final.

What another wonderful story about our past. Thanks so much Kushiro. Just fantastic.

Modern footballers have literally NO idea. Even in 1970 we played 2 games in 2 days both away. No flying to places and playing on carpets. 74 over Xmas we played Boxing Day at home and at dirty Leeds the next day. Went to both matches. I was knackered just watching it.

I remember some parts of it very well was 12 at the time and wasn't allowed to go that far to watch them
They bring memories read the Plymouth one as well......... blimey Gordon Fincham, Ian Maclaren l must be old
