Sunak

If a general election were held tomorrow and Labour were elected, they'd also just be rearranging deck chairs, albeit possibly in a slightly different way. There will be very little fiscal space for any UK government to operate in for the foreseeable future.

There is a good chance that the energy prices will moderate soon which will allow a bit of wiggle room for the government

Whist the government continues to be onboard with the green agenda, the only way is up I am afraid.

Wholesale gas prices are the lowest they have been for 3 years. Crises, what energy crises.

Seems very odd to me that given the fuss around Johnson being a law breaker the same isn't being made about the new PM. Two Tory law breakers in power within a matter of weeks of each other, all seems a bit dirty to me.

Still this is the modern UK I guess, debasing itself in the delusion that it is somehow a superpower.

Little is being made about Sunak being a law-breaker, because the largely Tory press don't want to draw attention to it.
It wasn't breaking the law that ousted the fat one. It was Pincher by name, pincher by nature that caused his downfall.
Well that's the official story anyway...

Can't fathom why re-employing Braverman isn't already the sword on which Sunak will fall.
He already knew she had broken several security breaches - with security being pretty high up on the JD for a Home Secretary.
Should be gone already. Both of them.
