took off Praett and suddenly villa have loads of room on their right because maddison doesn't track back as much.
Bring on slim, and then fail to get more than one ball on his noggin.
Bring on choudhury to shore up the defence, and we give loads of space to barkley to score the winner.

Mendy makes more a difference than anybody gives him credit for. Today and for the last few games (even in defeat) he has been one of our better players. That space that Barkley got is where Mendy was all day.

Tactically again Rodgers got it wrong. Slim wasn't the answer and the team looked totally devoid about how to work with him when he came on. If he was relying on a 40% fit Maddison to run off Slimani with his electric pace and stamina then it was tactically more inept than Holloway could ever manage in his pomp.
