Southampton to beat Bournemouth …

and gets soton 3pts closer?
no thanks, cut them adrift so there are only 2 places to fill.

If Everton win, then we are right in the shite.
If Everton win tonight, we'll still go back ahead of them if we win on Monday. And they have some very tricky games after that. Their fans don't seem very optimistic at all.

It's very tight and no team is down yet. They're all fighting to stay up. It would be great if all of our rivals lost or drew every game from now on, but that's not going to happen - sometimes they will pick up wins, as Forest did last night. That's ok - we don't need to have a mental breakdown every time that happens, such as I witnessed on an LCFC facebook page last night. We can win our next two games and be virtually out of it, so let's focus on that.

That's why keeping Leeds involved was so important. A defeat against them would of been disastrous for us.
My worry is that Forests toughest games on paper are against clubs ( Chelsea and Arsenal)
who are both going to be completely deflated.
They got Brighton under the same circumstances after the Seagulls disappointment in the F.A.Cup.
That result last night was massive for Forest, just when they were on the precipice with a long run of bad results.
It's really in the melting pot now.
The bookies have it about right with nothing much to split 4 clubs.
I am concerned about the Liverpool and Newcastle combination in our last 3 games.
West Ham could be a good fixture for our last game, but that's only if we are still in it.
Everton couldn't have two better hand picked games to finish with, whilst Leeds will be home to the hapless Spuds.
Plenty of nerves to be shredded and all of it completely avoidable on our part.

I'm not worried about other team's games and results.

But I'm shitting myself over ours.

I remember when we were fighting to stay in the premier league with Nigel worthington in charge and then came Mad Dogg. Thought we had moved in from that sort of situation but no!!!!

We were actually in the Championship, not the Premier League, when Nigel Worthington saved us from relegation in 2007 and Mad Dog, Megson and Holloway colluded to put us into League 1 after the following season.

Yes I was generally referring to the situation that were in now.

It’s imperative that Southampton win tonight. It’s not a case of cut them adrift and it means only two places to go down. It makes no difference if you come 18th or 20th
nope.
realistically it's any 3 from 5 at this point, i want soton and everton to lose as they are below us with a game in hand.
there are plenty of examples of already relegated teams suddenly winning at the end of the season once the pressure is off. cut soton adrift, then let them win a couple.
however, i fancy everton to get at a point today. dyche will shut up shop after the toons thrashing of the spurs.

He shuts up shop every match including at home hoping to grab a goal and win 1-0. Since Dyche arrived they’ve had three 1-0 wins at home and a 1-1 draw despite having 10 men. 3/4 of those goals were scored by defenders. Says it all.
The worrying thing is they’ve not been beaten if they score first and if they do they generally win. That’s my worry. If the opposition score first especially away they’re a lot more vulnerable

Luckily for us, Newcastle did the business.
our gd is now an extra point against the other bottom 5.
