Well said Adumass. I do worry about pen4, as in, if he's like this when we have won for the first time in over 2 months. How has he managed to cope since the middle of February šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
 
I saw his name in the line-up and thought why not Mendy. Best I've seen him play. I know that's a low bar but particularly 2nd half he got all over the pitch and put in some good tackles, and involved in the build up to the winner.

But haters gotta hate.

When we signed him I watched his 'highlights' reel on youtube. It was shit. He doesn't do runs - it's not his game. He was/is a very poor signing amongst many others. I don't know what we thought we were getting but he is not a fit for us.

I respect your optimism but I would pick Mendy over him every single time. The next two games are key.

Your replies seem to suggest people think he's suddenly a world beater. We're saying he had a decent game today. Try and give credit where it's due. Go on, try it, relax, enjoy the win.

I was just thinking the same. I've not been impressed with Soumare - he's too lethargic and too often gets the wrong side. The only other time I think he was decent was Everton away.

But David Nish makes a good point - we really don't know just how much Rodgers has adversely impacted some, if not all of our players - we know some of them appeared to get progressively worse instead of better under his tutelage.

Perhaps there are a few players that we'll view in a different light now they're free of the indoctrination of our former elite coach.
