Only played 21 times for us in nearly 3 years. I know he had two spells out on loan, but he was one who never really was given, or earned, a proper run

Showed very quickly that we couldnt cope with the pace and physicality of the Prem. Prob not his fault, Those 14 seconds did for him imho.
 
Always surprised that some expect a new player to slot in straight away to the pace & style of play.

Vardy was in a similar position when he joined.

His transfer is one of those 'what if' moments - what if it had gone through on time rather than leaving him in limbo for so many months.
 
It was a puzzle that it never worked for him with us. Clearly a class player with great vision and touch. Every time he played I was willing for him to get a grip of the midfield, have influence and run the show. But he never seemed be in the heart of the game - just small and insignificant cameos. Shame really.
 
Many clubs having problem clearing out there dead wood with these days with the covid cough. I have the ravioli, tortellini, lasagna, linguini frozen 5 months now.
