Lewis Taylor. By a country mile, this country's biggest kept secret . Retired from the business 15 years ago and left a body of work that references Brian Wilson, Marvin Gaye, Todd Rundgren. If you haven't checked him out, go do it now.

Some good suggestions there. I used to love Aim, in fact most of that Grand Central stuff.
Terry Caller definitely. Who was that New Yorker, who finally made an album in his 60's?
It may have been on Daptone, there was a superb documentary made about him. He sadly passed away a couple of years ago

Charles Bradley?

Another one I've come across lately is this lady. One album & a couple of singles between 1968 & 1972. And that's it. But what an album.

You need this in your life.

Alice Clark made some fantastic records. Re discovered by Eddie Pillar I believe, he bought many copies of her album dirt cheap,.& Sold them for a fortune years ago.

Yeah, I can't believe I missed it when Pillar was on it. That's the beauty of music I suppose!
