A good start but still work to do.

Worth remembering this is not about whether you like UFS or not, please don’t fill it out blinded by your own feelings on the group. Its not asking you to be a member its about shaping atmosphere down at Filbert way in the short, medium and long term.

What's the consultation process? Are the club sending out a link to STH, or do we have to contact them ? Or something else?

I had an email today with a link to the survey.

Dear Andy,

As a supporter who has attended games at King Power Stadium this season, you may be aware that Leicester City Football Club is undertaking a season-long Singing Section trial – an initiative driven by the Club’s close work with supporters to identify methods of enhancing the home matchday atmosphere.

With the 2022/23 campaign-long trial now past its halfway stage, the Club would like to gauge the trial’s perceived impact so far, asking supporters not seated in this area of the stadium if they feel a Singing Section has contributed positively or otherwise to the atmosphere at home Leicester City fixtures.

BACKGROUND

Following a series of Singing Section trials at cup matches during the 2021/22 season, Leicester City undertook a period of consultation with supporters to review the success of the trial and its potential long-term implementation at King Power Stadium.

Singing Section trials were undertaken at the request of match-attending supporters to give like-minded fans an opportunity to congregate in a defined area of the stadium to provide sustained and coordinated vocal support for the team. Trials began in January 2020 with an FA Cup Third Round tie against Wigan Athletic and were resumed for four games during the 2021/22 season – domestic cup ties against Brighton and Watford and UEFA Europa Conference League ties against Rennes and AS Roma.

During each trial, the Club has tested different locations, configurations, and ticket sales processes, to establish the appetite for such a section, its bearing on all match-attending supporters and its impact on the matchday atmosphere.

WHAT OUR FANS TOLD US

A survey was issued to all Season Ticket Holders and supporters that have purchased tickets in the Singing Section for matches in which it has been trialled. Supporters were also invited to participate in a workshop to examine the results of the survey, a selection of which can be viewed HERE.

Of the responses received to the survey, 90 per cent of all respondents were in favour of the Singing Section becoming a regular feature at King Power Stadium, with 87 per cent supporting its introduction for all league and cup matches.

Through survey responses and the workshop discussion, the Club was able to gauge further views on the optimal positioning of a Singing Section and the potential reconfiguration that would be necessary to create an environment that would maximise its impact.

YOU FEEDBACK ON THE TRIAL SO FAR

Throughout the process of implementing the trial, the Club has maintained transparency regarding the potential longevity of a Singing Section and believes now is an appropriate time to gather feedback from supporters who are aware of this Club initiative.

In true LCFC fashion Im not sure anyones knows.

From what I can work out there us one for those in the area and another for those not. I think going to sth only.

Filled it out and told them Infully supported the singing section.
That they could improve it with less zealous stewarding and said I was appalled that people had been banned for having their foot on the back of a seat.
If enough reply it may make a difference.

Appreciate the part about myself there. Thank you

Also replied , supporting.
For the question 'would you consider to move' I asked why anyone would consider moving whilst the stewarding is so heavy handed and out of step with the rest of the ground....and asked if it was a deliberate policy to dissuade others from joining.

The whole thing is farcical , our home support is so poor that we are attempting to put together
a few hundred fans to attempt to raise the level of vocal support
Unfortunately albeit welcome the few hundred does not really succeed
We still have support groups wanting the clappers back why can’t these people get
behind the team vocally
I am a season ticket holder and will give positive feedback if asked but the heavy handed
stewarding by the club in this area of the ground makes me wonder if the club wants this project
to fail
We are moving more to Vicarage Road than Elland Road and our present home form
probably reflects how nice it is for away clubs to visit
The club is totally losing its way on and off the pitch and for all the free ale and doughnuts
the fans have never been more distanced from the club 😁

I supported the section but took the opportunity (as we all should I think) of saying the atmosphere will only improve once the standard of football improves. Simples.

I did exactly that, told them until the passion returns on the pitch the atmosphere will not improve!

Completed
Also challenged the stewarding and the club’s incompetence in falling out with the singing section to the extent they refused to sing. And the football.

One fleeting mention at the very end about the stewarding, with no specific comments.

But at least the "bring back the clappers" gets a mention...
