Realistically who's capable of making it in the premiership out if this lot ???

How many are out of contract this summer? The rebuilding job will continue this January, money permitting.

Hermansen
N'didi

Tartan will disagree on Justin - "dog dirt".
I disagree on Justin too... and Ndidi for that matter is questionable as I cannot see him being effective in the PL in his current role & am not convinced he could do his old role any longer. As for KDH, let me retrieve my raised eyebrow from the ceiling. Have hopes for Fatawu as he has promise but a way to go yet. Hermansen will be with a PL club next season regardless of what happens with us.

Hermansen
Stolyarc
Ricardo
Justin
Thomas (back from loan)
Faes
Cody
Ndidi
Winks
Dewsbury Hall
McAteer
Mavididi
Akgun
Fatawu
Cannon
That’s a realistic view with what we have, not including the young injured players and whoever we sign in the January window, also depends if we carry on the way we are and we do get promoted…

That's quite a terrifying prospect. Ndidi's deal is up in the summer too, I think.
That £140m will have to be made of fucking elastic to stretch as far as it'd need to.

Hermansen
Winks
KDH ??? Has to be more consistent
Fatawu? The ability is there but have reservations
It depends on January as some perform admirably but are dependent on other as they need a back-up

Ricardo
Winks
Faes
Ndidi (out of contract in summer)
Fatawu (not our player yet)
Hermansen (thought of the top sides pressing us shits me up though)

Jury’s out on KDH and McAteer

Mavididi feels doubtful

Justin ain’t even good enough for Championship, nor is Luke Thomas. Both should be playing for Shepshed Dynamo.

I'll bet this question was asked in early 2014 & I'll also bet that not many names would have been put forward
Well even in retrospect not many were good enough. Let’s have a look..

Good enough:
Mahrez
Vardy
Drinkwater
Schmeichel
Morgan - just about.. was poor for most of our prem stint but had one amazing, wonderful and miraculous season (thankfully)

It’s not that much different is it?

We bought the following after promotion to improve the side/squad:

Ulloa
Cambiasso
Huth (Jan 2015)
Albrighton

Fortunately most teams at bottom of prem are also shite with barely any good players so with some solid investment we’d be fine

Bearing in mind some of the current lot are on long term deals.

Hermannson - yes.

Of the defenders, Faes, Vestegaard, Ricardo and Justin all took us down they simply were not good enough, nor were Thomas and VK even thought their in the top flight on loan. Ricardo hasn’t returned from injuries to the same level. Coady is the other side of 30 and struggled last season. James was never any good but he’s come back from his injuries even worse, did you see his attempt at defending on Saturday when he got skinned on the goal line?

Midfield. Winks and Fatawu, yes. As for the rest, KDH wasn’t good enough last season, Smith, Terry and Shakespeare preferred Soumare! Ndidi, see Ricardo. Hamza, he’s just been given a long term deal. He’s not even a starter at this level. Mavididi trying to be convinced but I’m not. McAteer may progress and Praet isn’t even in the squad.

Up top - Vardy and Iheanacho no longer and Cannon we have no idea about as he’s rooted to the bench.

Once we’re up we will need major surgery and improvement if we are to avoid being Sheffield United.

maybe a big club will look at kdh's stats rather than his performances and 'pounce' for him.

I understand the comments about the players that took us down should take responsibility ' But surely you have to take into consideration that they were playing under a manager who had no interest or even worse manipulated our relegation!!!
Yeah good point there Weller.
