That's true; part of the reason I started subscribing to the FT was to ty and read more about other European countries as well as the US which gets so much attention in UK media (and in which I am also interested), but even their coverage is not extensive. That said, if someone is sufficiently interested, it's not that hard to find out about other governmental systems, which after all is not necessarily best pursued through news media. You don't have to do a degree in government and politics, but checking out the reading list couldn't hurt.
