To excel in the Championship you need to have physicality and the ability to control and then pass a football.

As Daka fails in all 3 categories you might be being optimistic.

But then net off the salaries of their replacements (much less). Similarly, when considering P&L, annual year on year amortisation will be reduced for that group (about £10m for Tielemans & £4m for Soyuncu) will be reduced but then there's amortisation on their replacements if transfer or loan fees are involved to net against it.

40 mill for a player with just a year left on his contract, when we’ve just been relegated, is decent I think. I think that’s what’s left on his contract anyway. Correct me if I’m wrong.

£40m for a player who downed tools the minute he got selected for the World Cup, then went injured came back injured, got put in his box by a journalist, went missing as a captain then as player when the pressure really started to mount would be a right result.

Given those characteristics I’d imagine interested clubs will now be revising their bids downwards quite considerably.
