Our village is on fire...

Please report on this fire in a political context, Sardinia. A poll would help.

Do you think fire would make a good Prime Minister?

94% - No
3% - Yes, but only if it ran for Labour
2% - What's a Prime Minister?
1% - Radiohead

The local farmers have lost everything...

Wildfires usually spread from the tinder dry surrounding nature to engulf villages in their path.
Thoughts are with you Sardinia, and also with my Belgian friends in Namur and dinant who have had more devastating floods yesterday.

Smarten up, Astley. Your pro-fire arguments are incredulous at best. Some sort of tax on ridiculously high temperatures might just be the solution.

Hopefully my responses in this thread demonstrate why I'm not a fireman. I will however be reviewing 'Backdraft' in the film forum soon, so keep your eyes peeled.
And by 'keep your eyes peeled', I mean don't look at the fire or touch the fire with your eyes.

The wind is strong again.

If it changes direction we are in trouble.

Help coming from France and Greece.

The fires are still 🔥burning.

How far are they from your own house?

Stat safe and get the hell out if it gets really close, make sure you have an exit route.
It was yards away.

It has moved on now leaving a trail of devastation.
