One for sabre

At least he's genuinely living the outdoor life (for a week at a time), unlike that sack of hammers in the other video. Which is probably why it was so mind-numbingly boring to watch. Spare me his Buddhist bullshit about not harming blades of grass.

I checked out his other video on sleeping in a poachers cabin and there's a few giveaways on his amateur status.

Rule #1: always leave a trail you can follow to prevent getting lost, empty motor oil and beer cans are lightweight and practical for this purpose.
Rule #2: piles of old tires can be set alight for warmth and scares away the beasts of the night, like a Yeti. Do not play any woodwind instruments around Yetis, it attracts them like moths to your tire-fire flame.
Once you have a Yeti problem on your hands, you're pretty much done for.

What turned you guys on to all this? I thought all that 'unspoiled child of nature' crap was a German thing.

I like this man's videos, mainly because I can see that if I had to really live like that, I'd go mad. It's like living in a cupboard and pretending everything is fine.

Well.. yes. People stopped living like that for a reason. Way back in sabre history, honourable ancestors got taken by train upon arriving and dumped in the middle of the prairies. Told 'make it work and it's yours', so they got the heck out of there - after going insane. Romanticising that is just nuts.
