Oh dear, what a pity. Never mind.

Basically, the Government weren’t offering enough of a subsidy. At this moment in time wind power provides for about 0.3% of the electricity consumed.

Reuters, the company that controls all the programmed bullshit to the world press:ROFLMAO:

Basically, if Reuters told you it was raining, put your house on it being the sunniest day of the year.

I chose to put up Reuters but there were plenty of other sources.
All msm I assume but interesting to know where 0.3% came from.

Andrew Neil. (As much as he’s a cunt I’ve not seen him being called out many times for getting his info wrong. He’s pretty reliable)

Was this something he said on the telly (yes I know you hardly watch it) or written? I’m more inclined to think he got it wrong as I can’t see your figure anywhere.

Just found it on X
From what I can make out he was referring to that particular moment in time as there was very little wind. The comment below mentioned that currently 20% was being supplied by Solar and that clearly isn’t t the case over a year (4.4%).
I’ll stick with my Reuters figure which is an average across the year.

I don't follow Andrew Neil any more (about 99% (ok that's an exaggeration) of his posts seemed to be saying he'd blocked people) but I remember he regularly posted the current percentage contribution that wind was making, so that sounds about right.

Which I said if you read my post

Seems strange that Neil thinks there’s a point to mentioning what the figures are at any one particular moment.
Or that anyone would then think there was a point to quoting it. Figures that mean absolutely nothing.

Shame the government didn’t listen to advice and thus ensure the licences got sold.

Maybe they though buying into the rail system was a better option to make more money

Yes Reuters is a news agency that gives/sells news outlets stories, so of course there’s going to be plenty of other sources of the same story from Reuters.
