How come you didn’t go mate, Fusion, now that’s a good memory , are there such venues nowadays they all seem so clinical and tense on the odd occasion I venture out for a late night apart from the fan club, nuff said 😬😂

Biggest night club fight I've ever saw was when they put the bar in the middle, a load of Monsell lads (a bit younger than us) v the bouncers. They were standing on the bar kicking them and all sorts.

That was close to when it shut down.

One Friday night, l had to go to Charles street to get my sister out and her mate who you might have known, (P. O'K misses J). They had been naughty in there got slung out and threw a lump of concrete that weighed more than their combined weight through the door !

Yeah I know PO’K misses. I got caught in the middle of a fight between some Brauny lads and St Matthew’s one night. Took a right hander from Tucker who was on the door. Reminded him of that when we were all together in Gt Yarmouth some time after .

Went to a gathering in Derby on Friday night,
brilliant .

.Fred Perry, Adidas, big wide trousers, overnight bags with venue badges sown on , everyone on the same wavelength and just there for the music and the laughs.

One of the DJ’s was 18 ( his mam gave him a lift ) made me think it’s in safe hands for the next generation ✊

What was that place in Nottingham where you designed your own baggies, Roxy threads I think, my mate ordered some 40” ones and we accused him of wearing a skirt 👀🤨😂

I got caught in the lift at Baileys after giving it the big un to the bouncers , thought I’d made good on my escape until one of them put their foot in the door, realising my demeanour I gave it my best effort and then resumed the crouching fetal position hoping they’d take pity on me, which didn’t work out well for me.🤣

there was a place on Mansfield road, near the Forest where the Goose Fair is about 10 years ago. Thought it was a bit weird but them cunts are anyway.

In Blues and Soul someone used to advertise that they made them, not sure wear they where based, I've still got a few B & S from the early '70's I'll have a look sometime.

what a great Mag B&S was, I had a shit load of them for many years and still regret binning them years ago.

I kept them in a big box in my flat which was a den of iniquity at the weekends as I was the first of the gang to be persuaded to leave the nest by my parents, one of the lads woke up confused and mistook the box for the toilet and pissed all over my beloved collection, he even lifted the top up thinking it was the seat, he was very apologetic the next day but I still gave him a slap and sent him on his way and still remind him to this day when he tries to bring up one of my very rare misadventures 👀
 
My mam chucked 100's away when l left home, it was the bible weren't it.

The other soul mags were never a patch on Blues and Soul. I've got about 6 or 8 still. I think one of them is one, that as a couple of old mates mentioned in the Check Out The North column. (Kev S and Chris K). They're not worth much probably £5 tops, so if any of you want the ones I've got your welcome to them.

Actually, I even had a suit made like the front cover photo of Eddie Kendricks wearing.

nope, it 1974 and we all had suits made at Burtons or Jackson. Fuck nose how we afforded them when we were 16/17 !!! I think you left a deposit then saved up while it was being made, can't really remember.

I actually see Chris every game as he sits a couple of rows in front of me.
