Whilst Poch is clearly the best available I don't see him fitting in with Top's family ethos of the club.

On the other hand, a nasty piece of work might be just what we need

It's all a bit weird. It reminds me of the bleak 2000-2008 period (between O'Neill and Pearson), when every time a manager left (which was often), the Mercury would print vox pops of folk in the city centre calling for 'Walshie' to be given the job, usually with some variant of Elliot/Taggart/Parker/Lennon appointed as his assistants/coaches.

Cambiasso was a great player for us - for one season. After that, he couldn't wait to get out of the place. He was also a very divisive figure in the dressing room. How that qualifies him for the manager's job at our great club is, I admit, something of a mystery to me.
